Opened; I don't have any problems with it but I'm open to suggestions.
I'm happy with the current.
I don't like it at all but I don't have any ideas for a replacement.
Btw that artstyle is just gross and gag worthy.
Keep until a better is suggested. I'm not quite sure how else to demonstrate this trope, other than maybe putting the image side-by-side with the Japanese Tingle game.

I don't like the current image either, but I don't exactly know of anything better besides maybe a poster esque image showing how none of the Tingle-centric games got released in America.
When in doubt, spit deku nuts. The current image shows Tingle and hatred, but America (or, rather, any foreign country) is nowhere to be found. I've always thought that it seemed off, but I haven't been able to think of anything better.
It's based on the cover of the American version of Brawl.
That does not really help. An image would have to show a character being hated selectively by one foreign country.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMaybe have it have a layout like this:
Japan: (Tingle games from Japan) Europe: (Tingle Games from Europe) America: (Art of bad things happening to tingle, maybe the current image.)

When in doubt, spit deku nuts. That sounds more like No Export for You, only one tingle game ever hit the EU too so that won't quite work.
The fact that the Tingle games were never given a chance in America massively hurts using him as this.
The only thing I can see working is a character poll image, something actually based on real data.

Yeah, an image of a poll could work best.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportSo, that can't really be used as an argument for it showing Americans, specifically, hate Tingle.

Moon◊I was referring to the ESRB rating logo, which marks it as the American one.
But whatever.
I could easily draw a comic for this. People (can be one or a bunch) wearing Japanese flags excited about Tingle who is in the center, and then people wearing American flags recoiling in horror.
I still say keep the current.
Clock is set.
Clock's up; locking for lack of consensus.
For me , the trope image looks like it would be better on The Scrappy than Americans Hate Tingle. It's about a character or a work that is dislike or less popular in the foreign country than its home contry.
I know it's like complaining about Germans Love David Hasseloff, but I believe there's better images to illustrate it.
