Opened, says-a-me.
This one definitely works.
Acceptable.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSo there's a problem with the suggestion: it's already being used on Hulk Speak.
That is a problem. We can either look for another suggestion for "Open!" Says Me or use the one on Hulk Speak and find a replacement for that. The second option sounds easier.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Problem is the aspect ration of that panel. Unless you want to crop off the speech bubble.
I agree with Rethkir. Moving this pic to this page and finding a new pic for Hulk Speak seems the easier route to go.
It's better on "Open!" Says Me.
Check out my fanfiction! The one on Hulk Speak isn't cropped awkwardly. We'll just use that.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Regarding the Hulk Speak replacement, this other OotS strip provides the current page quote but also has some other panels to choose from.
There's also this 8-Bit Theater strip, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to cull panels from it.
Or, I dunno, we could go to the Trope Namer.
Two panels, taken from the same page:
(It's surprisingly hard to find Hulk dialog that isn't actually mostly grammatical.)
Moon◊Are there examples without so much distracting text that isn't relevant to the trope?
Check out my fanfiction!Probably, but I had difficulty finding them.
Although that text box in the upper-right of the first panel can probably be painted out.

I extracted the last two panels from the OOTS strip since they seem to be the funniest and illustrate the trope well. This is for Hulk Speak of course.

Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMThe second panel would probably do.
The second panel also happens to be the page quote ... or, rather, one of two page quotes. I suppose we could just replace the OotS quote with the actual image, though.

I think that having the first panel adds some context, but I'll extract the second panel if it's agreed to use this strip in single-panel version.
Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMNot a fan.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Maybe a panel or two of this◊ for Hulk Speak, from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns?
Seems more weird than hulky to me.
Check out my fanfiction! That is Future Slang, and not Hulk Speak.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. Here's◊ a decent Hulk speak from Mini-Marvels, complete with a lampshade hanging.
That thought had crossed my mind, and since Future Slang doesn't have a pic, I'd be fine with putting it there.
I noticed that the page lacks an image despite its age and the simplicity of the trope, so I thought I'd see if I could get the ball rolling on that. Here's Thog from OotS breaking out of prison. (The big panel 2/3 of the way down.)
