The suggestion is certainly easier on the eyes, so I'll give it my support.
The suggestion is certainly better than the current, but just for variety, how about a picture of the two boys from "L'or des Anges" singing the first part of the comedic "Les Duo De Chats" by Rossini?

Might I suggest this image of cats singing, complete with conductor, from an old postcard? Personally, I like it both, for its humorousness and its age - showing the trope is Older Than Steam (or if you want to be nitpicky, Older Than Television).
