So its gonna be one episode per week?

At first it felt like meh. But after a rewatch it felt like actually pretty cool. The only problem I have with the show is it being TOO SHORT. I want full episodes, dammit!

Dang kids these days and their YouTube shaped attention spans...

[up]Kyle mentioned that he pitched it to cartoon network once(I believe this was around 2007) but declined it. After pitching it again, he could make it as long as it was a web cartoon. A sense of Executive Meddling perhaps?

It being a web toon says nothing about how long each episode can be. Was that part of the deal?

[up]No wonder why my brother thinks Kyle's cartoon sucks because all they do is stand around and gabble. Great job executives

"Pig Iron is on You Tube." I do not ever call a video that was recorded off of a TV screen in a family room 6 inches from it "on You Tube".

The "no pants" rant was golden. Poor girl, because of her life choices her @$$ will always be scratched, too cold, or too hot.

[up]Its ironic she hates pants considering that when her early design showed her wearing them.

Yeah... This show isn't my cup of tea. Episodes that are 3-minutes long and exclusive to smart devices, with (really only) 2 voice actors, sub-par humor and an uninteresting idea for a plot (Sword Collecting, even magical sword collecting, is really dumb in my opinion) make this rather unappealing to me. I do like the animation and the look of the show, and Grey De Lisle is always a plus in my book, but that's pretty much it.

I find it ironic that my specialized message is "Puts down sword, picks up pen", because that's exactly what I'm doing right now.

Wait, isn't the whole "girl character doesn't wear pants" thing a tad sexist because of the "Shes Got Legs" trope or something?

Or the idea that she prefers a Leotard of Power (I guess that's what it is?) over pants is okay because what matter is that she has the right to have her own sense of fashion?

(Yeah yeah yeah, I know it's a cartoon, but can the same thing be applied in real life in an unironic sense?)

I actually think the premise of sword-collecting can indeed work in a half-hour TV show. But it would need to be written a certain way.

Exactly.

.... or Slayers if it were based on swords.

It's not any weirder a concept than the Shen-Gon-Wu in Xaolin Showdown! and that was a decent show. But yeah the series itself doesn't take itself even a little seriously, so its not for me either.

And the pants thing is pretty obviously fanservice AND making fun of criticism of scantly-clad heroines. Hypocritical Humor.

Making fun of two sides of the same argument in one fell sword-swoop?? Is Kyle a mad genius!?

Alright. So if you guys didn't like the quality of that video I found that the first two episodes are on demand for the cable viewers. And I found two videos that have different footage from possibly upcoming episodes

-Vambre using the mummy sword on a thief

Prohyas trying to keep a dj talking tree quiet

Prohyas helping out a rabbit trying to pull out a carrot from the ground

Vambre and Prohyas talking with a princess.

The first three are already on the Anything app, but the last one sounds like the originally published pilot.

[up]I take it the third one isn't on youtube then? Yeah, I would guess that Kyle reworked the pilot episode for a short episode.
