Damn that was awesome.
You lost!I binge-watched the entire season three days too soon it seems. Now I have to wait for the finale.
This show reminds me of Orphan Black, with the "one actress who plays many characters" thing, although this time it's one at a time for Liv. And compared to the other CW shows I watch (Flash and Arrow, that I enjoy, mind you), the dialogs are much better.
Ravi is my new favorite male TV character. This guy is just perfect from head to toe.

I like Clive. Ravi's a close second.
Major is...eh. Not really feeling him. He's ok, but lacks what the French call a certain...I don't know what.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Major is just too dumb for me to like him. I'm expecting he'll die in the next episode though so it's not seriously hurting the show for me.
Calling dumb someone who is deliberately kept in the dark by most of the other characters is a bit unfair.
You know who's really dumb? Sebastian.
What kind of moron intentionally provokes a woman who has already killed him once? While tied to cinderblocks, I might add.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."She killed him with cinderblocks. He may think that without another one, she won't be able to do a thing. That she would be like this Empowered character with a cinderblock for a head.

Major is dumb because he thought breaking in and shooting up the butcher shop by himself was a good idea. He also continued investigating this thing even after it became clear he was in over his head. Clive is out of the loop and he doesn't act like a dumbass about these missing kids.
Well, then Liv could have just explained that he was in over his head, so, you know, he did not have to check into a mental facility (which made it even worse thanks to Scott E).
That's my one issue about the show. Drama over a secret that the main character has, and does not reveal to some people for the same reason than always ("that would put them in danger!"). Even if Major is putting himself in danger by himself with awesome skills.
Arrow was the same, and repeated it with a lot of characters - Tommy, Laurel, Thea...I am SO glad it is over now. Flash did the same too, but at least ended it without much fuss during season one. It seems to be a requirement for CW shows.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: "Zombies are real, they eat brains, and I'm one of them" is a perfectly justified secret to keep. Peyton's reaction last episode, while on the extreme end due to what she had just witnessed, is exactly what I'd expect from a normal person. This isn't like superheroes pretending to be a Rich Idiot With No Day Job to their family when they're secrets saving lives. This is a serious, serious secret that normal people would run from at top speed.
Now, Major's trickier. But he keeps telling them that he's getting out (since he thinks they're just being protective in general), and so by the time they realize he needs to know, he's already declared his intentions to kill every single zombie, which makes it awkward. And remember that Liv still thought she had stalled him by a few days by telling him she'd examine the brains he brought her.

Like, Liv is no superhero. Her interests align with the good of non-zombies, sure, but she's still eating people's brains. And has to to stay sane.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."The series also makes it abundantly clear that Liv is not, as much as she may protest, acting on some moral imperative here—she's absolutely keeping the secret because she's terrified to open up about this crap to Major. Unlike with, y'know, The Flash, all this drama is rooted in the characters making dumb, selfish decisions, rather than plot contrivance.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Well, true, at least in this case there is no real "protect the secret identity" imperative, it's mostly Liv not wanting to sacrifice her relationships for the sake of her friends. For Peyton, it was justified, but Major is a wholly different problem. Telling him would have been the smart choice to keep him safe.
Then again, it's good when à hero(ine) is flawed, it makes them more interesting.
On another topic this show made me start Veronica Mars.

It's good when a show makes someone watch Veronica Mars.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Liv can't save her brother he will be a Zombie if she did. They have the same blood type.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureWhatever else happened this episode (and a lot did):
Yes, Major. ALL the Yes.
"I am sick of these motherfu&*!@ zombies in this motherfu&*!@ city!"
That sure was a season finale.
Major is hardcore as shit.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Major went Leon. Good boy. The soundtrack for that moment was awesome.
The ending...drama incoming in season 2. I can tell ya.
Wait. Did I miss an episode? Goddamnit. >=(
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Don't worry, nothing important happened. Honestly, it was pretty boring, actually. Zombie eats brains, zombie solves murder. The butler did it. Honestly, this show is so formulaic.
Seriously though, don't read this spoiler: Did anyone else notice a suspicious Skunk Stripe on the Max Rager CEO at the end?
Okay, I like Major now.
That was...wow. The wait for the next season is going to be torturous.
Watching the episode now.
"Daddy issues? Megalomania? Greed? Wow, that felt really good to get off my chest." Stop making me like you, Blaine. >=(
I must engage in a bit of fanboying. I love this show so much!
Ok, now tell me when season 2 is airing.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! This fall so good thing we don't have to wait till mid season again.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThis season finale completely destroyed the status quo of the show.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."
Wham Episodes are all the rage these days.
