Screw Nostalgia Critic. I want to hear Red Letter Media's take on this.
The newest numbers indicate that Pixel might end up on second place in the box office, while Ant-man might hold onto spot one. If that happens it will restore my faith in humanity. (And in people actually seeking out the various reviews at the net).
Why the Nostalgia Critic, though? I thought 2002 was his cutoff mark.
I like to keep my audience riveted. Are those the only two movies on that list? I would think your faith would be restored it Pixels wound up at the very bottom.
He started a new format a while ago that did away with the cutoff year.
"Urge to thump... rising." -FighteerHe's done Jupiter Ascending already.
Nah, realistically speaking there are always people who watch nearly every movie and Adam Sandler fans.
Opening weekend will always be high if you have a ton of marketing. At least top 10, chiefly because only 3 new major movies come out each week.
Don't forget to factor in the So Bad, It's Good crowd making Pixels them box office bux.

I'm going to make you groan at this thought: imagine what Phil Lord and Chris Miller would have done with this material without Happy Madison.
At this point I'm pretty sure just about any post you make in this thread is probably going to make me groan.
The key predictor of quality is whether the nostalgia laden movie is a labor of love (The Lego Movie) or whether it's a cheap cash grab. It's clear what Pixels is.

Imagine if Lord and Miller had made this a crossover with The LEGO Movie. Minifigs vs. Arcade Games.
Man, This video game movie is so horrible, I expect an Angry Video Game Nerd review on it.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. It may be interesting to compare this movie's use of licensed characters to Wreck-It Ralph, especially the fact that apparently the owners of Q*Bert are completely shameless about his portrayal. I remember the creators of Wreck-It Ralph said that they couldn't find anyone else who'd agree to have their characters be homeless until they got to Q*Bert.
It went back down to 18% on RT, which is where it'll probably stay.

Time to wait for my old pal Critic to do it.
REALEASE THE DVD ALREADY GODDAMNIT!!
For those not into the know, Nostalgia Critic will only review new movies after they're realeass onto DVD. The exception is Jurassic World, due to copyright bastards taking down his videos due to fuck all, despite being on DVD.
Why was Jane Krakowski in this movie?

So not only did they take down videos with the word Pixels in their titles, but they also took down the short film that inspired the movie and the official trailer? That's... I just... how could... I'm done.
Egh, that reminds me of when somebody got "busted" for sharing videogame speedruns because Speed is the name of a movie. How about no more one-word movie titles please
At that point I almost expect them to try to censor their own movie, which is probably the best thing they could do with it anyway.
It's Vimeo's fault, really. You Tube didn't do the same thing when Entura send their DMCA's at them.
Well, I warned my friend to not watch this crap. He ignored me.
Well, there goes my friend's brain cells from watching it.
By the way, who's exicted to see Doug Walker review this? Yeah, I know the Nostalgia Critic needs to review it as well, but we'll have to wait until the DVD realese. Or he can do the thing he did when he reviewed Jurassic World before it came to DVD. But, since his real persona Doug reviews movies while in cinemas, I really want him to review it ASAP. And, yes, I'll be happy to see the Critic tear this goddamn fucking bullshit of a film into a billion pieces.
