That's not the actual creator of Pac-man at the end, right?
Anyway, it's stupid fun, though I dislike Adam Sandler. Maybe Peter Dinklage will balance things out.
From what I've read, it is him.
(V)(;,,;)(V)This is probably a movie that's very over-the-top and doesn't take itself too seriously. I'm probably going to watch it since I kinda like that type of thing. Bayonetta is like that and I got a lot of enjoyment out of it.
This looks stupid in the best way possible.
It should be good for a few laughs and some mindless entertainment, if nothing else.
It's a funny premise no matter how you look at it, although it HAS to be at least inspired by the Futurama episode.
The thing that gives me some hope is the suggestion they are using their innate knowledge of video games to combat the aliens.
Is this the Spiritual Successor to Wreck It Ralph?
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"This could go either way. It could either be a stupid-fun disaster movie parody or another bad Happy Madison film. The trailer managed to get a few laughs from me (like the Pac-man gag and Adam going "Just kidding, we're all gonna die").
Whether or not its something I'd go to the theater to see depends. It might be a film I wait for on DVD.
My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013I hope this tanks and Adam Sandler finally gives up being in movies.
Nah, you should hope Grown Ups 3 tanks, not this one.
This is a Chris Columbus movie. Director of Home Alone One and Two, the first Harry Potter films, writer of the Goonies and Gremlins. This is a guy who tends not to mess up when it comes to film making.
...wasn't this the plot to an episode of Futurama?
Either way, I'll probably see this for Peter Dinklage. And let's be honest, this looks like a great drunk-view movie.
This looks awful. I don't see this having any of the love or care that Wreck-It Ralph and other such 'Video Games Movies' had with their source materials.
Yea, it was the plot of a segment of an episode.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Case in point; Last I checked, it was MISS Pac-Man.
The way I look at it is that Edge of Tomorrow was the best video-game movie ever made, because it followed a game's structure, how most folks would actually play the game with the attendant crappiness at the start and gradual progression in skill level from the player, better than any title with a game brand stamped over it. Nothing I saw about Wreck-It Ralph made me want to watch it at all, whereas I bought the Blu-Ray of Eo T after catching it at the Imax.
This one does look better than WIR because it has Adam Sandler and Peter Dinklage, both of whom I like and screw the critics of the former.
At one point I considered Edge of Tomorrow like a videogame in that you keep getting to respawn, but then I remembered that if it were a videogame, the protagonist would be forced to make the same stupid decisions during the cut scene segments no matter how many times you die and watch said cutscenes.
Go watch Jack and Jill and That's My Boy and see if you still like Adam Sandler.
I will always see Edge of Tomorrow as more a Groundhog Day as a war film than a video game movie.
(V)(;,,;)(V)I'm not a fan of Sandler myself, but I don't hate him so much where his presence in a movie is by itself enough for me to question whether I want to go see it or not.
This looks like a one of those movies like Baysformer series, ones that are best when watched without any expectation of depths and intelligence.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. That isn't the creator of Pacman it is Denis Akiyama as Toru Iwatani.
I'm interested though the last Sandler movie I liked was Hotel Transylvania.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAh, could never find solid confirmation. Just an article mentioning the name.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Looks like dumb fun; the part where Pac-Man ate Iwatani's hand actually made me laugh.
Heh.
Crow: There's a plot?
First trailer is out. Looks to be stupid-fun.
