I'm only around 15 hours in, but I haven't seen a single direct connection yet.

There's some very minor stuff like shared collectible item names or characters named as a homage to earlier games, but no plot or lore connections.

At most recurring species, I'd take, seeing how Nopons still exist.

The series works like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest in that regard, I'd assume.

That's what I figured it would be. I still need to get around to the first one.

Playing the original will help you understand the ending of 2 a bit better.

2 kinda spoils 1's ending a bit.

I don't know, I played through the first Xenoblade and I still don't know what the hell happened in those last few hours. The plot went through some weird contortions around that point. Seems like it'd be hard to spoil something that doesn't exactly make a whole lot of sense to begin with.

I dunno, I didn't find Xenoblade 1's ending that incomprehensible. There's been way worse stuff out there in JRP Gs.

I found most of it pretty easy to understand. If you want me to explain anything in particular I can try.

It could be worse. It could be Kingdom Hearts.

Kingdom Hearts is one of those weird examples where it's both overly simplistic and overly complex. If you look at it on the surface, the whole thing is just an excuse to cobble together Disney-themed worlds and fight thematically-appropriate Heartless/Nobodies/Unversed/Dream Eaters/whatever. It's once you delve into the story and lore behind it that it becomes a Kudzu Plot.

They just announced on the Mega Man 30th Anniversary stream that Mega Man Legacy Collections 1 and 2 will come to the Switch.

And X Collection too. I don't know which games will be included.

Well credit to Capcom. They announced 19 Switch games in one go.

Every X game except for Command Mission will be rereleased for the Switch, PS 4, XBO, and PC next year.

Including Xtreme?

Ah I forgot about the GBC games, but considering they said 8 X games, it's going to be the X1-8.

I just hope Capcom doesn't get cheap with the game cards again. Although, absolute worst case scenario, they should be able to fit the entire X Collection on a 32GB card with space left over, even if they did include Command Mission.

The X games are not a collection. The translation was "Will be released throughout the year of the 30th anniversary." So, it will be individual games, like what the Neo GEO games are doing.

Will the Switch version include the 3DS version things, such as amiibo unlockables?

Kingdom Hearts wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that you need like 4 different consoles to play everything.
