I actually graduated from Algonquin College's video game program.
Turned me into a Shell-Shocked Veteran.
I took two in college, Computer Game Design and Educational Game Design. They were both very enjoyable.
I built a (semi-functional) Jeopardy clone in my spare time using Java.
I also had extensive modding experience learning from various Command & Conquer games. As in I could tell you just about everything you wanted to know about the INI systems in those old games.
And did some mapmaking and editing for Warcraft II and III and Starcraft.
Beyond that I don't have a formal education in game making. (Though I do have some programming experience from college.) I DO however know some stuff about design and balancing and other things the hard way from my mods and maps of old.
Not video game animation but I took 3 Autodesk Maya classes and some Adobe Flash classes.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureDuring my two years of computer programming classes I considered making a text-based RPG. I wound up being too lazy to go through with it, but if I brushed off my rusty C++ skills I might be able to go back to it.
I graduated from Digi Pen as a Game Designer. It was a great experience there, and I did learn a lot of things pertaining to game design, including level design =)
...ehehI played with LEGO bricks a lot and used to draw a lot of Kirby comic type things as a kid, close enough?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.In my entry level Computer Engineer class I coded a Pong clone. Sort of lost interest in Engineering once I had to start taking Calculus though.
Drawing comics comes closer to attending an animation class than playing with LEG Os,.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I did take a online course in making a 2D sidescrolling platformer in Multimedia Fusion. I actually got a perfect score when I presented it in the end. I'm also in the middle of a course in 3D modeling.
I hope to find a good animation course/class (since I'm very interested in animation along with gaming) that's reasonably priced at some point.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."Nothing formal, but I've dicked around a ton in XNA and I'm learning Unity and Unreal Engine right now just on my own.
If you haven't checked either of them out, they're both pretty dope.

This is just something I'm curious about.
This school year, my junior year of high school, I have been selected to take a CAD/Animation class. Today, I have received word that I am able to take a second year during my senior year!
In the next month, once we get done with architecture, we will be doing our last unit: Animation/Video Game level design. The entire reason I took the class was because of this.
So, I ask you guys this: Have any of you taken a class that involves video game design during your high school/college career?
