Not 100% sold on that, but it does get Paris across better than the current.
Suggestion is better. I've seen plenty of images of Paris in works that were along the same lines.

Definite improvement.

Note that we've already got the Useful Notes entry for Paris illustrated by an aerial view including the Eiffel Tower. Gay Paree is apparently here to represent the stuff that we normally get about Paris in works of fiction, as opposed to the dull facts. So it needs to be represented by something romantic and artistic, ideally different from the Useful Notes image.
My own instinct would be to go for a Toulouse Lautrec image — say, the classic "Jane Avril" poster.◊

= Spindriver =Why not just move the current image of Gay Paree to the Useful Notes page, if they're too similar. The Ratatouille suggestion is how I normally see Paris depicted in fiction.
I like 7.1. If 7.3 had had a pedestrian street without cars, I might've preferred that one.
Check out my fanfiction!7.1 > 7.3 > 7.2
The current image isn't like the Useful Notes image; the suggested replacements from Ratatouille are.

= Spindriver =I think the idea for this trope should show Paris as a beautiful, charming place, which the Ratatouille images get across better.
for 7.1
Another for 7.1
Any objection to 7.1 before I post it?
Should the current image be moved to Paris? Or leave that one be?
Updated.
Old image:
Sooooo
Seeing how this has been updated, can this get closed?
I completely missed that this had been done. Locking up.
How about a shot of the Paris cityscape?◊ (this is from Ratatouille, by the by)
