Been worried about doing a Super Robot Wars RP, considering the number of characters/series and franchises that can be added...
I very much want to continue exploring my Forged for Justice setting, but I also genuinely believe I made some mistakes regarding its design- Such as not being intuitive enough regarding the Manual.
I really want to reboot and redesign it as being easier to get into & progress, so would anyone still be interested in a superhero setting where you're rookies trying to prove yourselves? I'm thinking of just allowing players to completely ignore Adyta and get right into action for example, with the standardized classes being replaced with more explicit tutorship.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."My dude, you already know my answer.
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.I'm feeling RP like.
I could make a Earthbound like RP.
Or a The Expanse like RP.
I would join the shit out of an Expanse RP
All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world. The Expanse? Oh, yeah!
Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward! That's two for the expanse.
Keep in mind this would mean you are flying about the Solar System in a rocket.
AND IT'S FANTASTIC!
All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.Of course being Expanse inspired. Nothing will be that simple.
So get ready for Epstein Drive and advanced rocketry.
@Kkutwar: I think that sounds like a good idea; I'm down for rejoining that game whenever you make it.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.I will draw out deck plans and actually math the rocket the fuck out. I will do it.
All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.Glad you are dedicated. I may just give you a general paragravity device so guys don't have to worry about crushing G forces when decelerating.
I'm sorta juggling two ideas in my head, and I'll go with one of them as the actual RP if it has enough interest. I'm trying to make them easier to jump in and out of so no one feels too obligated and so having one person drop out doesn't tank the whole RP.
My first idea is a modern mythic fantasy game, a la Percy Jackson, where creatures of mythology are emerging in a modern-day city. Characters will be empowered by various gods and deal with mythic threats in the city while also investigating a dark looming threat.
My second idea I'm tentatively calling Paleozoic, a prehistoric fantasy game where the players are people transported to a world where prehistoric creatures and people live side-by-side. The characters have to find a way to escape, as well as not get destroyed by the wildlife or by the native inhabitants. Sorta inspired by Paraworld and ARK: Survival Evolved.
Just let me know what you guys think and if any of you are interested in one or the other idea and I will see about getting a signup up if there is enough positive feedback to one of the ideas.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. The 2nd idea sounds more than nice to me, I'd be in that
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"@All Hail Thrall: Second idea sounds kinda neat. Where are the people being transported from? Modern day real world? Cyberpunk sci-fi? Steampunk? Multiple, choice of player?

You are reading this.I've put the signup/interest check here. People will be brought in from the modern-day.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Just a reminder that my Expanse style RP is up and available. Feel free to jump in!
I kind of want to start up an RP that is part idol part magical person. Basically a world where peoples negative energy creates and feeds various monsters around the world. The only way to fight them and prevent monsters from growing stronger is to venture around the world and use musical magic that grants certain powers to the singers. They 'perform' by destroying monsters and rise in the idol industry by reducing the dark emotions. Characters would be based around genre's of music and special abilities named after songs from that genre.
That... is actually something I've wanted for a long time. I love it.
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Alongside my aforementioned Guild of Friendship RP, I'm considering moving an off-site Magical Girl crossover RP over to this website.
The plot's mostly "A Game of Gods, but with Magical Girls." The multiverse is at threat from a massive, reality-consuming black hole. A survivor from the first world consumed by it summons a group of girls from across the multiverse to hunt down a group of artifacts that are the best shot at stopping it, which largely involves travelling across a lot of worlds (both canon and original) to track them down. Naturally, there are other forces at work besides the ever-looming threat of multiversal destruction.
Would this be something anyone here would be interested in?
Edit: Decided to just say "screw it" and posted the signup. Feel free to check it out if you're interested.

Icon by Civvi the Civilian! So, before I try rebooting Forged For Justice, I like the idea of "getting my feet wet" with a comparatively simpler idea. Therefore, I could start with New Genesis Fame first- Much more straightforward concept (freaks avoiding crazy secret organizations), yet still highly interesting with twists down the road. Basically, "inFamous + Prototype but with magic" is admittedly oversimplified, but gets the idea across.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Ever since knowing about Neon Genesis Evangelion, anything with genesis now makes me interested. But even if it wasn't named that, considering it's you Kkut, I'm interested. i just hope you don't get discouraged by slow posters again though
I should be hurled into the deepest pits of hell for this, but...
The Grand Misadventures of YouTubers!
The premise is incredibly basic; you play as different famous people (could be original characters, or characters from canonical verses as YouTube personalities) in YouTube... and then end up being sucked into a vortex that takes you all into all sorts of worlds, from fantastical, to scientific, and to the worlds from videogames, literature, among others. Is this a dream come true, or a living nightmare?
