Introduction

Space, the vast emptiness that encompasses existence itself, the blackness lit up by the galaxies spread across the endless void. Where life is born and die...

It is the year 256 of the New Century Era, it's been centuries ever since humanity and few races fled the dying Milky Way. Their new home, the Andromeda Spiral, taken in these lost souls. However, they have yet to find a suitable homeworld to pitch and settle in. The people from the lost galaxy, they wander the stars as nomads in their colony ships. The galaxy is vast and numerous, a few worlds to claim is easier said than done.

The Spiral is home to great galactic superpowers, vast and powerful. The Andromeda Federation, the One Unity Empire, and Vandfor Enterprises. Imposing territories with star systems numbering in the thousands at the least. A serious predicament for the nomads as simply joining one of them incurs the wrath of the other, risking extinction of the lost souls. A rock and hard place.

For the nomads, it's time to set the stage. Go big or go extinct.

Your role in the RP

You, as part of the Stardust Crusaders, are part of a task force to explore the galaxy. What lies beyond is a mystery and the fact no one dared to venture into the vastness that lies ahead of the nomads. You are given a mech bestowed by your associates, one that befits to your tastes and abilities, one that is capable of traversing both space and planetside.

Good luck and may the stars brighten the darkest of times.

The factions you need to know

  • Stardust Crusaders: (That's us) The main faction our characters originate from. Nomadic races that fled from a doomed Milky Way. Billions living in millions of enormous space settlements known as Islands. The natives would consider them to be upstarts or just little people. Being a faction of multiple races, their technology tends to be varied. Taking on a superpower head on is tantamount to suicide and thus they tend masked their presence around the fringes of the Andromeda.

  • Andromeda Federation: The closest thing to the good guys of the Spiral's superpowers. They are a democracy (in theory) with the people's interest (in theory) and fighting for freedom (in theory). In practice, they more of a lumbering bethemoth bounded by red tape and with no overall direction to go to with corrupt leaders making it worse. A shell of it's former self, a shame that without those problems, the Crusaders can just integrate with them but no, they're far from ideal and the alternatives below ain't that better.

  • One Unity Empire: The ruthless nation of the Spiral that believes they are destined to rule the galaxy under the iron fist of the Zankur dynasty. Their Modus Operandi is to conquer and assimilate any territory they want. Their races composed of the slug-like Lorguns, the the cunning Brain jellyfish Vorani, and the ape-like beasts of the Kongraks with many more being second class citizens or slaves. Due to an incident involving Vandfor's automations, AI are banned and are to be killed on sight with Wetware CPU in place of AI. They view outsiders as nothing more than helpness fools derserved to crushed and enslaved.

  • Vandfor Enterprises: Used to be the Federation's go to company to make various goods, ranging from common electronics to state of the art mecha. This MegaCorp succeeded from them to kickstart their own nation. Their vast fortunes funding their power over trillions under their domain, most of them as property of Vandfor. They tend profit from anything that benefits themselves the most, even if it mean selling off your family for a quick buck. To anyone who know better, they're just as bad, if not worse than tyrants of the Empire, just with nicer shoes.

How to join

For Pilot or just a character

  • Name:
  • Gender:
  • Race: (Their race have to originate from the Milky Way)
  • Appearance: (A description or a picture would be nice)
  • Abilities/Skills/Powers: (As long it's not overpowered or over a mech)
  • Inventory:
  • Bio:
  • Other Traits: (Anything else that wouldn't fit on anything above)

For the mecha and unique vehicles:

  • Name:
  • Unit Type: (What kind of mecha is it, Long Range? Close Range? Magic Use? What?)
  • Model Number:
  • Manufacturer: (Who or what made this giant)
  • Armor: (What kind of material it's made of?)
  • Abilities/Powers: (Can be strong but planet busting is a serious no-no)
  • Inventory:
  • Technology & Combat Characteristics: (Describe what it's capable of)

Addendum from myself and others

  • First and Foremost, Bcom and I are Co-G Ms, we run this RP.
  • As a SRW-style crossover, OCs and canon series can co-exist in the crusaders. Want to have Armored Core, Pacific Rim, Borderlands, Halo, Gundam, Killzone, Mazinger, Macross, and even Muv Luv? Sure, why not.
  • There will a loot system implemented into the game, Borderlands style. It can range from machine parts, mechs, vehicles, weapons, and maybe even a ship.
  • As much we're including real robot and super robot, we're putting in limitations.
    • With the exception of the Cool Ship, your mech has can max out at 80 meters, any bigger would make you a big target for a barrage from the enemy fleet or in Bcom's words "a one man fighter shoving a torpedo down your exhaust port.".
    • There's also the minimum of 3 meters if your going with the mini-mecha route, any smaller, we might as well call it Power Armor but it's wouldn't be a mech anymore.
    • Planet busting is total no-no, be it attacks, powers, or superweapons.

pilot:

  • Name: Sven 'The Sword that cleaves evil' Zonvolt
  • Gender: male
  • Race: Human
  • Appearance: best picture I can find for my idea
  • Abilities/Skills/Powers: no super natural abilities, just a lot of experience, training, and luck.
  • Inventory: an assault rifle and service pistol for if he ever gets shot down, a quick repair kit for cockpit/pilot suit breaches, music player for when he gets bored/wants to rock in the middle of combat
  • Bio: a descendant of Sanger Zonvolt, Sven aims to uphold the legacy as the sword that cleaves evil. However he's much more laid back than his ancestor and loves to tease his team mates to keep the situation from becoming to tense at any given moment. He does know when to shut up and focus though, and hurting his comrades is a good way to end up on the wrong end of his colossal blade.

mecha:

  • Name: Grungust Type-4 (Yes I know it's Sanger's black grungust, best approximation I can find)
  • Unit Type: Close range
  • Model Number: SRG-04
  • Manufacturer: Tesla institute
  • Height: 60 meters
  • Weight: 390 tons
  • Armor: Machine cells, capable of regenerating armor over time. Light stuff can be healed instantly but severe damage can take hours or days
  • Abilities/Powers: A sort of hybrid between Real and super robots, it's giant at 60 meters tall but none of it's weaponry verges into the super natural.
  • Inventory: Drill boost knuckle, Tri-smasher (3 fire linked Omega blasters mounted in chest and shoulders), omega solid lasers (Eye beams), leg mounted missiles, one Colossal Blade.
  • Technology & Combat Characteristics: it is the type of unit that wades into enemy fire and slices/blasts/bludgeons the enemy to death at close range. It's not a slow moving colossus as might be expected (gotta be somewhat quick to use that sword) but it can easily be out ran by smaller lighter units. It's basically a unit for engaging other large targets such as enemy super robots and battle ships along with hardened structures. On a final note, to take full advantage of the pilot's training the Type-4 uses a direction motion link system
  • extra: linking this video to give a better idea of the attacks

If our Mecha could potentially use Magic, could you explain a bit how that stuff works here? Was considering my character's Mecha having started as a "generic" model that was deliberately designed with magic that would examine the pilot's mind and emotions to eventually transmute it into a Super based off that.

Besides that, how does a Morph Weapon with multiple forms (sword, ax, gun, whip, etc) sound?

In regards to metaphysics such as minovsky particles, GN particles, Spiral Energy, magic, and other energies, they are offshoots to a mysterious metaphysic not many people knows.

I'm ok with mechs using magic as long it doesn't breach game-breaking levels with Planet busting or making matter over nothing.

Same with the morph weapon, can be anything as long it doesn't break the limitations. Other than that, I'm alright with it.

Lemon, your accepted.

Waiting on Bcom to finish so I can decide yes or not

Pilot Character:

  • Name: Yoshiyuki Moto
  • Gender: Male
  • Race: Human
  • Appearance: Would a picture help?
  • Abilities/Skills/Powers: A skilled martial artist and happens to be a skilled chef. His martial art in question is Jigen Haō which is compatible with Mobile Fighters. Mobile Suits that mimics the pilot's movements.
  • Inventory: Portable stove, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, and survival knife.
  • Bio: A former street urchin, this youth was once a pupil of the late Sekai Kamiki. Learning from his master, the boy became the practitioner of Jigen Haō-Ryū Kempō. After the death of Sekai, the martial artist became a chef at a 4-star restaurant. His life changed however when he was chosen to part of a expedition task force.
  • Other Traits: A hot-blood youth who took up much of his late master's teachings and habits. Often wants to do the right thing.

Mecha:

  • Name: Build Burning Gundam
  • Unit Type: Close Range Mobile Fighter
  • Model Number: IRX-011B
  • Manufacturer: Iori Workshop (Some parts come from the Strategic Naval Research Institute)
  • Armor: Gundanium Alloy, an extremely durable armor material, electrically non-conductive cannot be detected by radar. If it's somehow damaged or destroyed, repairing would be extremely difficult.
  • Abilities/Powers: Integrated into the movable frame are GN Crystals which enhance the Gundam's power and performance. The crystal themselves can also allow pinpoint shield defense with precise blocking. The cockpit's mobile trace system has a higher sync-rate compared to other mobile fighters or similar mecha, a double edge sword with higher reflexes but the pain feedback is also at higher outputs.
  • Inventory: None.
  • Technology & Combat Characteristics: A custom built mobile fighter designed to take advantage of the GN Drive and the GN cystals. Even though it is shy of being 18 meters tall, this Gundam is designed to be a Lightning Bruiser, a highly mobile unit that strikes hard. Even without a weapon, it is capable of delivering swift and powerful blows. One drawback is that it's doesn't have the any targeting systems for shooting weapons and thus this Gundam has worse aim than Stormtroopers.

So either Megas, one of Dexter's mechs or an underused mech from the Macross or Gundam franchise as a choice.

At worst, I don't know if Megas can be handled by one person alone.

Just wanted to state this but considering our guys are going out into the wilderness, we're going to need a Cool Ship to support the mechs.

Personal Suggestions:

  • A Macross Colonization Ship
  • A Mech/Ship tender for bigger constructs.

Gonna need just one.
