I took this screenshot in Fire Emblem: Awakening just now that I think would be a good page image for Absurdly Youthful Mother:

Possibly...I wouldn't mind to see some other options, but that's not a bad start.

It would look better if she wasn't dialogually darkened down, but not bad.

That works for me.

That kinda looks like someone took a screen from a phone, is there any high quality ones?

Also it looks more like Mum Looks Like a Sister

Also, it's kinda not an example, because of time travel shenanigans.

Those are both subtropes of Absurdly Youthful Mother, though. Mum Looks Like a Sister could use it, though I'm not really seeing why that's a separate page to begin with.

I have no idea why those are separate tropes as well. Someone apparently made Absurdly Youthful Mother 'Mathematically Impossible Mother' and made Mum Looks Like a Sister a really terrible snowclone name.

Also I have Huge issues with the use of 'Mum'.

I don't really care for it. As mentioned, the small age difference isn't because Lissa gave birth to Owain that young, which is what the trope is - the small age difference is because Owain came from that far into the future.

I know that Supernaturally Young Parent - which is what the image falls under - is a subtrope, but I feel the supertrope should have a straighter example than this.

That kinda looks like someone took a screen from a phone, is there any high quality ones?
Doesn't look like a phone shot to me at all; that's a direct rip. That is literally as high-quality as you're going to get from a 3DS game.

I'm not sure if it would be the best example, but we may be able to use part of the page from ElfQuest where Tyleet (who looks absurdly young despite actually being hundreds of years old) reveals that she's pregnant, to a pair of initially astonished humans.

[up] It may just be the art style, but she doesn't look especially young to me

Her features look more inhuman than young.

That doesn't look that youthful really, she looks about 40 with caked on makeup.

I agree that they look the same age, but on the downside, it's really not obvious that one of them is the other's daughter

That will need a caption to work.

Honestly this trope usually has to be pointed out by someone like a caption or outsider.

here is another one, The apron gives off a huge sign on who is the mom.

I like 22. If we need more clarity, we can just caption it "Mom on the left of picture, daughter on the right"

22 is a lot better. You can tell which character is the mom and which is the daughter from their clothes (in 18.2 and 18.2, I would have had them reversed if you hadn't mentioned that the arrow points to the mom). What little ambiguity remains can easily be clarified in the caption [tup]

Maybe lampshade it a bit by saying "In case you can't tell, the mom is on the left".
