Awesome! I like this this vibe will be more lighthearted with tons of fighting and action and shenanigans~
Will post a character soon. Will be a daughter of Sophie's probably, but different from the Gaiden ones.
Hey y'all, Just dropping by here because I've been lurking the other Beacon discussion thread, and I wanted to ask, is that open to everyone, or only to the members of the cool kids club who are playing in Beacon Ultimate?

@Folkia: Tis open to everyone, good man!
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.Okay then, thanks ... Uh, yeah, I got a shitton of stupid character ideas, though, want me to run then by you before actually writing a character sheet, maybe?
- Name: Marvin-Lee Blanc Jade
- Gender: Male
- Age: 17 Years old
- Birthday: Crystallum 15th
- Race: Snake Faunus
- Appearance: My dad told me I looked silly with white hair...◊ Only a shitty dye job as opposed to natural. He's reminiscent of the feathered tree viper◊ in that he has several scales with "spiky" bits sticking up.
- Weapons and Equipment:
- Thunderstruck: A pair of claws and greaves, similar to Ieria's. The difference is that instead of a flamethrower, the claws and greaves can vibrate at intensely high speeds, shaking apart those that are hit.
- Semblance - Raiden: The Curse on the Jade family had been lifted and dispelled before Ieria's graduation, ensuring that all future children would be born with their own semblance instead of the cursed berserker semblance. Instead of that, Marvin Lee can conduct electric currents and fire off bolts of lightning in combat against his opponents.
- Personality: Marvin is a rather outgoing individual, which is a far cry from his mother's personality. He's a free spirited and outspoken individual who isn't afraid to speak his mind, and rarely holds his tongue. He does have a bit of a stammering problem when caught off guard, however.
- Bio: The nineteenth child of Ieria and Medus, Marvin-Lee Blanc Jade is a boy who wants to make a name for himself, making it out of his family's shadow. Mostly that of his Grandparents and his own Parents, in fact, being held against the accomplishments of his family is a rather sore spot for him, making him quick to anger.
...
ARGH I HAVE TO FIND A NEW FACECLAIM.
How do lizards fly?@Folkia: Go for it!
@Marvin: Welcome to Beacon!
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.THE HYPE TRAIN HAS NO BRAKES LEFT.
- Name: Ragnaros Alexander Remington
- Gender: Male
- Age: 17
- Birthday: 3rd of Flos
- Race: Human
- Parents: Hope Remington and you wish I told you
- Appearance: Practicing the "you are already dead" pose with his younger brother, Daniel.
- Weapons and Equipment:
- Weapons? Ragnaros Remington needs no weapons to bash your face in. No, seriously. He's been seen going at Grimm with folding chairs, nail guns, sledgehammers, ladders and any decidedly non-weapon articles that exist to the public. His Semblance helps with that, but he's been known for just tapping lesser Grimm to death with an ordinary rake of all things.
- That said, he does have a weapon when he needs to get serious, namely Keindahan: a large double-handed blade◊ that he wields one-handed anyway(unless the situation is really dire at this point). Keindadan's alternate mode is that of a rocket launcher that - rather than fire one big rocket - fires a swarm of small projectiles.
- He also has a cool bike.◊ Used it against Grimm, too.
- Semblance: The Ultimate Warrior: If it's an object with a form, Ragnaros can use it as an effective weapon, namely by infusing said object with his Aura. He can't however add more Aura to something that already has a purpose of a weapon - say, a gun - and so goes around this by using something that has a secondary purpose of being a weapon, like a crowbar. It's a little like Berserker's Knight of Honor in that regard.
- Personality: Larger-than-life is probably the only way to describe him without resorting to some insult. Ragnaros Remington is nothing like his mother, being loud, boisterous and hot-blooded so much you could use him as an oven. Has an odd tendency to pose and strike particularly rousing speeches even at what seems like the most inopportune of moments. Blood Knight extraordinaire, a trait grabbed from his granddad, Raggy loves nothing more than odds being stacked against him. Two on one? Bring it on. Five on one? Hell, he's just getting started. On the flip side however, he doesn't generally enjoy killing even Grimm and as such is appalled by anyone who finds pleasure in it. Beat the shit out of someone? Sure. Kill them? He's out of that ship. This urge to find a fight often has his better judgment dimmed and, well, he's not all that smart even when there's no fight going on. Loves high-speed, beautiful men and women alike and, strangely enough, baking.
- Bio: Hope Remington's middle child, Ragnaros has always been noted as aggressive and brash. While generally good-natured, it has always been easy to trick him into a fight... but somehow, he always pulled through any scuffle. Hell, he even seemed to enjoy it. Worried that her son's on her way to become a delinquent, Hope pointed him towards Beacon and reasoned like this: "You get to kill powerful monsters, enjoy yourself and also protect those that can't protect themselves. Seeing three nice things in one package, Ragnaros hesitated no longer. A childhood friend of Vale siblings, he was excatic to hear them planning to attend as well.
Alright, so, I was thinking, in order of "how much of an idea I have of them":
- Throwing in Quetz, which I previously proposed for Beacon Ultimate
- Wulfric 2.0, maybe I'll be able to play him better than back on Beacon 2
- Some sort of chemist guy, preparing plenty of mixtures with "fun" effects
- A boisterous explosives expert with an armored up EOD suit
- Some guy dressed and acting like your stereotypical ship captain, weapon of choice being a miniature battleship
- The Funkatron, specialised in sonic weapons and the like
... Yes, I have an altitis the likes of which you cannot even begin to comprehend.
Anyways, how bad are these?

@Raggy: Dust, that is beautiful. Welcome to Beacon.
...Oh, boy.
Awesome! He can be a test dummy..I mean help with my experiments!
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.Oh boy.

"Of course it's beautiful. You can't go wrong with Remington!"
(groans)
@Each: Admiteddly after making this I thought of the Ultimate Warrior and chuckled a little. But no, I think the guy's plenty weird already. ^_^;
How do lizards fly?@Folkias: Hmmh. We need someone to match the light tone. Needs to have comedic traits. What I'm saying...which one's the funniest?
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.I like that ship guy myself. That just sounds amazing.
How do lizards fly?Well, if you want some funny, that leaves us with Quetz, ship guy, and Funkatron. I'd say Quetz is pretty up there, with him being semi-high half the time, and being completely technology illiterate. The two others, as much as I really, really like their concepts, I'm afraid I don't have much for them, I mean, I feel like the gimmick will wear thin quick, see what I mean?
Huh. I like Quetz. It would be funny when all the adults just glare at him.
World flashbacks!
...Welp, gotta go for now.
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.Ah. See you around, Grim.
How do lizards fly?Okay then, guess I may just go with him, should I repost the character sheet here, I suppose?
Probably a good idea.
- Name: Natasha "Nat" Francesca Lei
- Gender: Female
- Age: 18
- Birthday: Crystallum 31
- Race: Human
- Parents: Sophie and Yun
- Appearance: Step aside and see the world!◊
- Weapons and Equipment:
- Director's Cut: A pair of hi-tech motorized inline skates, outfitted with small jets on the front, back and sides of both shoes, allowing for boosting in multiple directions. The jets push against air currents, and allow for speeds up to The wheels can shape into small balls allowing for fluid movement, and the skates can rapidly scale up steep surfaces, even at 90 degrees. Natasha can release sprays of paint from the backs of the skates, creating a trail of it wherever she goes if she wishes.
- Hitchcock and Kubrick: A pair of twin pistols designed to locked into Director's Cut, so that Nat can use her feet to shoot them, but she often just shoots them with her hands. The pistols do not use normal ammo, instead using special cartridges of highly pressurized paint bombs. They pack the same concussive force and punch as normal airsoft rounds, but instead of piercing, they leave large splotches of paint. Nat can quickly flick the charges on the sides of the pistols to rapidly switch between the color of the bullet. The pistols can be transformed and combined together to create a large paintbrush◊ for melee and large sweeps of paint.
- Semblance: Artist Within: Nat's semblance allows her to shape and control color, as well as paint. She can change the color of any object she touches, and it remains that color until she changes it back, except in the case of human skin, which regains its color after 12 hours. In addition, Nat can morph paint for a variety of purposes, depending on the color. She can't create paint, and has to take it from other sources:
- Red: Sharp, spiky shapes, shapes of blades, needles, etc. Used for quick and rapid strikes. Fast Speed.
- Orange: Large, sweeping powerful waves. Medium Speed.
- Yellow: Bouncy defensive bubbles, and extremely sticky splotches. Slow Speed.
- Green: Solid, blunt and large objects like fists, blocks and shields. Slow to Medium Speed.
- Blue: Fluid, wavy and high precision, for things like whips, etc. Medium speed.
- Purple: Thin, flat shapes like rings and surreal geometric shapes that defy logic. Medium speed.
- White: Many small uncontrollable splotches, like graffiti. Has energizing and healing properties, fixing wounds and cuts. Fast Speed.
- Black: Large, perfectly dark, unknowable round shapes. Cancels other paint colors. Nat can create two black holes up to 100 yards apart, and they can as portals to move between the two spots. Other people can use the portals as well.
- The abilities of the colors can sometimes be combined if the colors mix well, in equal amounts.
- Personality: Natasha is slick, chill, and very street smart. She's never too loud or too quick. Nat doesn't care about justice, defeating evil, killing Grim, being a Hunter or any of that. She just wants to be famous. She wants world renown. She is determined to make everyone remember her name, and if you forget who she is, it makes her extremely mad. Nat makes sure she is putting 200% style and flair into absolutely everything she does. Style and coolness is what drives her and inspires her, and the quickest way to her heart and get her impressed is to do something cool. She loves art, especially fashion, and no one has ever seen her wear the same outfit twice. She prides herself on her wild, awesome wardrobe. Nat has an obsession with movies and film-making. She has seen more movies than pretty much anyone in her generation, or anyone she knows. She is always using her scroll, mounted to record and film exciting, cool or interesting moments of her life, including all of her battles, considering herself, her friends, her enemies and the people in her lives to her amazing movie stars, which is partly why she wants everything to be so cool and exciting. Natasha also as a noted Covert Pervert attitude about her, and isn't afraid to cross any boundaries for the perfect shot. She isn't afraid to break the rules, she she isn't stupid. She uses a lot of slang, and is infamous for affectionate pet names.
- Bio: Nat was raised in a huge, bustling Vale city, surrounded by street life and interesting strangers everyday. At an early age, she learned to Rollerskate, and most of her friends were apart of that street lifestyle. As she became a teenage and started to make an identity for herself as a cool, stylish chick, she started to notice that her peers and friends were keeping her down in their immature and sometimes criminal ways, stopping her from being successful. So she told her parents her dream of being a famous star, and that she wanted to take the path of Hunting, so Sophie and Yun trained her, and got her into Beacon, happily.

Welp, here goes, then, with a slight name change:
- Name: Quartz
- Gender: Male
- Age: 17
- Race: Faunus (dragon)
- Appearance: Here
- Weapons and Equipment:
- A bow as tall he is, firing lance-sized arrows. Their size makes it impractical to carry more than a few, but anything they hit is going to have a bad day.
- A primitive sword◊ note , about the size of a bastard sword.
- Semblance: Morning Star: Quartz' semblance makes his body heat up to extreme temperatures, literally making his blood boil and effectively turning him into a miniature sun of sorts, giving off a warm aura healing those around him. However, as with all suns, getting too close to him or his freshly spilled blood can get particularly dangerous, the potential healing being completely negated by the grievous burns inflicted by the heat.
- Personality: Quartz's rather simple upbringing made him unaware of things such as not talking to strangers, traditional gender roles, metaphors, and diplomacy in general. Other than that, he's rather laid back and friendly, although a little distracted and flightly at times, which may or may not be due to the fact his smoking habits make him slightly high most of the time (but that's okay, it's medicinal). He's almost always seen with something in his hands to keep busy with, be it carving a block of wood, drawing birds he sees on a nearby tree, making some medicine with herbs found lying around, or sewing back together his old clothes that are falling apart.
- Bio: Born among a tribe living far from civilization, Quartz grew up and lived among hunters almost his whole life, being essential to save the clan from an empty stomach and the Grimm looking to fill theirs. He started learning about fighting and surviving the wilderness from a young age, longing for the day he'd eventually be able to join the hunt with his elders. However, a couple years back, an abnormally strong Grimm killed a couple tribe members and severely injured several others, forcing them to reach out to civilization for help, which is how Quartz learned about Beacon, and vowed to join them as soon as he was of age.

Decided to go with an OC I had cooked up previously...
Name: Tezca Atzuhi
Age: 17
Species: Jaguar Faunus
Birthday: Umbra 12th
Appearance: Messy two-tone hair (Black with gold streaks), 180cm (5'10) and built for speed and flexibility. Gold feline eyes and slightly elongated canines. Cat ears are partially hidden by hair. Wears a brown long-sleeved shirt, olive jacket and dark jeans. When angered, his feline features become more prominent.
Personality: A carefree soul, Tezca is a cheerful guy who always loves a good laugh. However, Tezca possesses a strong sense of right and wrong, and is quick to defend it. He also has an explosive temper, and is perfectly happy to get physical once pushed.
Weapon: Calamity- An assault rifle that converts into a buzzsaw-axe. On one end is the exposed buzz saw blade which is powered by a motor, the other end is a wicked spike. When Calamity is not in use, a cover slides down to cover the saw. The axe head can also be separated from the handle to form a flying guillotine, connected by a metal chain.
Semblance: Black Blade- Tezca's semblance allows him to form solid knives made from his own Aura. The knives are sharp enough to pierce stone, and dissipate upon impact.
Bio: Born into the Atzuhi tribe, Tezca grew up near the grimm-infested Jungles of Mistral, and was trained to become a fighter from a young age. As he grew up, Tezca learned of hunters such as Charisse Schyllata (Who was Mistrali herself) who graduated from Beacon Academy, and decided in order for him to become a hunter strong enough to defend his tribe, he would have to train hard to get accepted into Beacon. The next step? Graduating!

Using this guy again:
- Name: Salel Lior (Or "Sal" for short). To tie it to the colour motif, his colour is essentially black with his first name being derived from the word Betsalel, Hebrew for "In the shadow" his full name could be translated as "Light in the shadow"
- Gender: Male
- Age: 17
- Birthday: Novus 11
- Race: Human
- Appearance: 6 ft tall and lean with black hair, blue eyes and noticably thick eyebrows. He wear's a lightweight black cloak (more for show than practicality, deep blue chest armour over a longsleeved black undershirt and silver plating on his arm's. He has black denim pant's, and boots.
- Weapons and Equipment: Lunar Rays. Twin wrist-mounted extendable light blades current maximum range is ten metres (This allows it to also serve as a ranged weapon). They also have a secondary mode that allows them to function as an ordinary light. Useful for blinding enemies or simply being an ordinary flashlight.
- Semblance: Shadows. Sal can look through shadows, melt into shadows, teleport from one shadow to the next, and even take someone into the shadows with him.
- Personality: Solitary, intelligent and eccentric, Salel is a man of many ideas. His mind constantly working at a million miles an hour, Salel can often be found reading, using a computer, or pacing back and forth generating ideas. While by no means unfriendly, Salel can occasionally be weary when someone approaches him, and often act's unusually polite and formal (especially for a teenager) during initial conversation, once he opens up, though his internal energy can make him the largest Ham in the building, and his curiosity makes him a good listener. Sal has a tendancy to be blunt though. He believes in fairness and equates that with giving everyone what they deserve without bias. So if he thinks you are an idiot, he will tell you so without reservation. As such, he can often come across as quite arrogant and condescending (a trait he intentionally plays up on the battlefield for his own amusement). Because of this, Salel is unlikely to have many friends but will be FIERCELY loyal to the few he does have. Salel is also very open-minded, and often gravitates to other outcasts, if someone is being ostracized, Salel will be the first to offer them friendship. This however can make him rather naive.
On the battlefield, Salel's talents are best spent coming up with creative plans and strategy's for his team to use. Because of his intelligence however, he has a tendancy to overthink things and will thus defer to another team member in the heat of battle. Salel ultimately prefers to advise rather than lead, but will smack a leader upside the head with a steel baseball bat if he thinks they're being stupid. On a personal combat level, Salel uses his semblance to his advantage, using it's maneuvorability to flank, and ambush his enemies and take them of guard before quickly and ruthlessly finishing them off. This allows Salel to compensate for his substandered stamina and experience compared to more physically adept hunters. A common rule of thumb for Salel is that if he's ever fighting an opponent on equal ground, something has gone wrong.
- Bio: Born and raised in Atlas by his mother Thena Lior, Salel was always fascinated by Atlas's technology. As the son of a field medic, Salel was often exposed to interesting forms of combate technology and loved the idea of these fascinating inventions being used in action. Though he didn't know his father, he was well liked by the people at his moters workplace and would often listen intently to any lectures on tactics, science and engineering. Recently, his mother's work brought them to Vale and Salel's original application to Mantel Academy was instead sent to Beacon.
@ Sat : Just asking, but you know the .22 is the second weakest bullet in existence right? Actually it is the weakest mass produced cartridge, its actually weaker then a lot of commercial airguns, its designed for killing squirls and shit, has a hard time killing any thing bigger. That much force is not going to do much against an angry grim. >.>
Unless the force is supposed to be that of a glorified spitball.... If not I would recommend something along the lines of 5.56 which is a pretty weak round if that's what your going for, but decent for actually killing... still wont go through drywall though, still used in nearly every NATO assault rifle for some reason I will never understand.
Oooor, 7.62 which is the military grade version of the classic American hunting round, and used in battle rifles the world over.
If your looking for pistols, the 9mm is okay, still takes quite a few shots IIRL to kill some one though, so much so that military that use it practice 2 in the chest, and 1 in the head, for actually decent rounds you want he .45
