Yeah, OP suggestion is not in the least adorable. I actually prefer animal examples to humanoid ones, because they seem closer to my interpretation of the term, such as this

The only way Bolin would work is maybe showing two images, one of him being adorable and one badass. Which just seems unnecessarily clunky.
The other thing that miiiiiight work is an image where he's both badass and adorable (I think when he first lavabends might qualify, as the look on his face is adorkably excited), but that'd be tough to find.
