It doesn't make sense to not have Local. I saw Versus on the Beta main menu, and there's technically local play already in training mode.

Zen lives! ... as piece of concept art that didn't make it. The translation for the Tweet acknowledges his name going around in rumors, though.

Post got pulled, apparently. Apparently they're trying to get a more accurate translation of what was in the tweet.

EDIT 2: Shoryuken reposted it with corrected details. Apparently it was a theoretical concept based on the rumor. They also did a similar art for a theoretical female Blanka.

Well since news is kinda quiet, I wanna share a dream I had recently.

So there was a local tournament and various Street Fighter characters were fighting under the train tracks (the train is above the streets, think Chicago and Watch_Dogs) when suddenly someone used sleeping gas and everything went black.

After fade-in, everyone woke up in some sort of palace, wearing robes and they all have Necalli's facial paint. I interpreted it as everyone joining Necalli's "cult" or whatever.

Then Necalli himself walked by with Ryu, Ken and Sakura (also with the same face paint) who are all wearing more impressive robes than everyone else. Dee Jay asked me/the cameraman why those people are elite officers, and I told Dee Jay that he isn't "shoto enough" to be one.

THE END.

NeoGAF user goes to play a pre-release tournament using the final retail release build, was able to play some of the individual story modes and took some pictures.

• Sean does in fact appear in Laura's story.
• The blonde woman who appears in the cinematic story mode trailer is named Helen. She's Russian and appears to be helping out Nash.
• Guile getting a new look? Wearing a dress shirt with rolled up sleeves and a tie.
• Holy smokes Bengus' art quality dropped. That or Capcom didn't give him enough time or money to do a better job.
• Man, the individual story modes really beat the Birdie is a Big Eater joke right into the ground.
• Rashid's got a friend named Maya. Is that C. Viper?
• Mel (Ken's son) is 1 year old, which places SFV at about 2 years before the events of SF 3.

So I take it that since Sean is kind of prominent in Laura's story he may indeed end up as DLC in the future. That'd be nice.

I can only hope they don't turn him into an intentional joke character. Given 3rd Strike's popularity, Capcom may be deluded enough to think it would appeal to people.

Sean I've wanted since the game's announcement. But yeah being the dan would suck.

And yeah Bengus sadly has gotten worse. Cammy looking like she just ran a derpathelon.

I really do hope if Sean gets in, he returns to his Second Impact status, with his Dragon Dunk and other moves.

Yeah, I kind of wish they'd go more the Sakura route with Sean instead of the Dan one.

Though Dan is less of a Joke Character from a Meta standpoint.

In-universe, he's still pretty awful yeah.

But I agree Sean probably deserves better, especially since once he becomes a joke, no force on Earth will let him escape that stance.

Sean's screwed... His Big sexy sis has damned him to joke status!!!

i think the skin tone thing's just a weird lighting effect used for that frame. although Sean's facial expression legitimately confused me. where is his nose?

Bengus quality has fallen dramatically. It's probably the huge amount of pages he had to get done quickly but you never know.

Yeah but at the same time him and Laura have two totally different skin tones. But looks more to me like a stylistic choice.

Alex is the first DLC character. Also, the PS 4 version will support PS 3 controllers.

Its so odd how Ryu is never really central to the plot in Street Fighter.
