Oh hey. My main from Alpha is back. Good stuff. If Karin returns, I'll be even more pleased.
Looking at her designs, I'm liking what I'm seeing/reading. Having Yamato assist her feels a bit more natural. And "Mic Performance" reminds me of Thor's taunt from Marvel vs Capcom 3.
Appearance-wise, she looks as good as ever.note I'm kind of glad they waited until V, as I'm not sure how she'd look in SFIV's style. In fact, all the characters seem to resemble their illustration profiles more compared to IV, so I'm finding everyone a bit more appealing now.

The cut in her chest is now heart-shaped, so I'm cool with it. I will miss the blue hearts, though.

Mileena MadnessThe reaction in her tag on tumblr is pretty positive right now, actually.
There's a difference between hidden weapons (Ibuki, Viper) and plain sight weapons (Vega, SF 4 Rolento) and extra people helping out (Alpha Rolento, SF 5 Mika); obviously the last set is the worst. Of course, if SFV is revealed to not be a tournament, then all bets are off and what R. Mika is doing is totally "fine", if still unfair.
On the side, Tekken (always a tournament arc in all main series installments) has swords, bears, killer robots and supernatural beings that breathe fire and shoot lasers so I guess I shouldn't complain.

My Deviant Art account. There might be art there. Sometimes. Not even KOF is immune: it's almost always a Tournament Arc there, and that game has a character with a whip and a gun.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I think it's safe to say that a lot of fighting games made in Japan has one rule in their respective tournaments:
Win the fight.
Think of them like Gladiator fights; they were legit, with rules and all, and they're allowed to use whatever weapons available to win and survive.
So... The Phantom Pain is out. The Region 2 ones, but it's out.
Not gonna talk about it, just an idea I wanna share.
Do you guys think Big Boss and Solid Snake can take on any of the fighters with CQC? Tekken and Virtua Fighter are the more realistic fighters I know (Dead Or Alive might count, but have you seen the crazy things they could do?)
Also, you can use any incarnation of the Snakes; Snake Eater, Phantom Pain, Sons of Liberty, Guns of the Patriot... whatever.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.R. Mika gameplay featuring Combofiend and Mike Ross.

Embeds don't work, just link it.
Is it me, or did they actually get Maile Flanagan to do Mika's dubbed voice?
Her Irish whip is a command normal [follow-up?]? Well, okay. Not what I expected, but that sounds pretty rad.
Combofiend mentioned that her grabs are relatively slowe and her normals are relatively fast, so I wonder if there'll be a more standard grappler like Zangief or Haggar.
...Or Hakan.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.Mika's desire to face Zangief makes him appearing a little bit likelier.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'm hoping both he and El Fuerte make it in, to be honest. IIRC, Fuerte seemed to be inspired by Mika, after all (though I don't remember if that was In-Universe or not).
More gameplay with the English voices, though it's muffled by the chatting.
Can anyone make heads or tails on the voices of the not-Ryu-Or-Vega characters?
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!I hope they keep Atomic Suplex if they bring Zangief back. They might be concerned that Running Bear Grab is too non-intuitive (un-intuitive?) to bring back.
Legend has it that the English and Japanese voice actors of Naruto are voicing Mika.

Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity. It's kind of funny how all the wrestlers in SF have some kind of connection to the others, no matter what the culture. I'd be hilarious if they all had their own club or something that did stuff offscreen all the time.
Like that time Zangief, Honda and Fuerte met up and Fuerte served them Chanko Borscht.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Well, it is kinda weird for Honda, cause Sumo is very different from the kind of wrestling most of the other's do, but if you consider that as Pro Wrestlers, they likely travel the same circuits and wrestle in the same promotions (in addition to cross promotional bouts) it's not so odd for them to all know each other.
One Strip! One Strip! That is indeed Junko Takeuchi as her Japanese VA, same as in Alpha, but Maile Flanagan doing the same is still a toss up.
Charlie and Birdie's English voices both sound very familiar to me, but I can't quite put my finger on who they are.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!@Known Unknown They probably know each other from working different promotions. It's very common for professional wrestlers to work different promotions in different countries, like how in our world guys from the Fed and other promotions in the states will wrestle New Japan Pro Wrestling, or in Mexico.

What he said.....
....is what I already said, but yeah, that's pretty much it.
Mika, Fuerte and Zangief (along with Alex) are all pro-wrestlers. It's all but guaranteed they'll be in the same companies at some point.
One Strip! One Strip! They are also Street Fighters on the side. That's probably how some of them met in the first place.
This is true, but calling on someone to help you in a fight still seems low.
But then again, we have Viper using her gadgets in a fight, so I guess double teaming someone isn't so crazy.
One Strip! One Strip!
