Restored it. Unilateral removal without discussion is a no-go.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.That said, it is redundant to the page quote. Let's see if we can find a better one.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Also really small. A larger version at the very least.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2003-01-13 panels 2,3,4?

Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.I don't think I've ever seen the mods agree that something that Fast Eddie replaced was wrong before. /justsaying.
Either of those are good...the Shlock example could do with just panels 2 and 4.
2 & 4 of Schlock are excellent. 2&3 are all that's necessary from Treading Ground
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Schlock pretty much requires the 3rd panel because of the difference in panel sizes. The 4th panel is wider than the 2nd.
Treading works well though.
I don't see why the width of the Schlock panels matters. As long as the height is the same an d the width of the two side by side isn't more than 350 it'll be fine. And if it is more than 350 side by side simply center the narrower one over the wider one or reduce the size a hair.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I like 9.1 but the second panel seems unnecessary. The layout would improve without it, too: just two panels horizontal...
Edit: Yes, like 10.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Schlock looks good.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard Cohen10 is good
It's good.

It certainly has a religious touch to it.
On an unrelated note: My guess is, the problem with many of the undiscussed image changes is that users are not aware of the no-go rule. I for one wasn't aware of it for my first year on here. At that time I only considered images taboo if they had a discussion link added. Therefore my suggestion would be: Why not put a big disclaimer on the Image Uploader page, reminding people about the rule. What do you think?

I don't see Schlock as an improvement over the more-concise current image. Couldn't we keep the image and change the quote?
Similar to Did I Just Say That Out Loud?, it doesn't just restate the trope name, it shows the kind of situation it appears in. I might like 10 better anyway, though.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.10 is superior; it shows the trope in action, which the current lone panel doesn't.
10's better, the only suggestion I have is merge the pointing guy from panel 3 into panel 2, so it's a bit clearer he's trying to warn him that the fat guy is right there.
I think the guy in blue looking in the fat guy's direction is clear enough.
Yeah, I think it's clear enough, but if someone want to edit in the pointy hand that could work.
Check out my fanfiction!I am not seeing a reason for a further edit on 10, and since it has support it's up, potholed and tagged (not yet on Image Source, though).
Caption or no?

The picture was removed on account of it being redundant with the quote. Which was true, but the picture was put here by Fast Eddie, so I seriously doubt it is kosher.
