- I have to admit Fu-girl's "girl power" is amazing here...but she's evil.

I lost it when the chasing Sommelier-kun montage got to crawling through a briar patch and slashing their way through the jungle.

Too damn cute.

Episode 5:

• Aito would be so proud of Umio.
• Hio's only option is to misunderstand what she heard.
• Kameko's hair must be fluffy to the touch. And the afro denial reminds me of Ayumu.
• Sommelier's a gift from the gods to all women.
• On top of that, he has a soft spot for cats. A sad silent film had to get that point across. ...And those punks love cats too.
• Tsumorin, Hio's predecessor. ...Being a klutz is a skill not worth learning, though.
• So, concerning Director... Hio, will you also be an item with him...?

Sommelier's silent cat film was one of the highlights.

He's got some nice sweaters.

Episode 5. In which there are panties, rain, and tears.

If she's that embarrassed to say just that, it's kind of natural she's got some hidden intention behind the question.

Panties are srs bzns. (Those two meeting up would be hammy.)

She's not great at setting that shelf up. Or it's alive and beats her up occasionally while she's trying.

"It's probably a misunderstanding." When isn't it?

I like rain.

Straight hair is relatively manageable in high humidity. Wavy hair, not so much.

I like Sensei's reaction. Sometimes she's more open as a pervert. But only For Science!

Episode 6. In which a girly girl draws.

Yeah, that symbol has been changing a little.

Aww, that perp-sweating room was just imaginary. Still at a table, though.

How's that not treating her as a girl? They're even lying in different directions.

Moving fast isn't necessarily good when drawing.

They're being a wee bit overdramatic. Well, it was a Diablos Ex Machina.

That's certainly an unusual way to fix it.

His identity is totally hidden.

That's not unacceptable. It shows off her stomach. Gotta be a few plusses there.

That's quite the security camera. Even inside the fridge.

Mistakes add to dojikko girl power.

Able to actually eat, rather than just fiddle with food, is also a good plus.

Hiding spots with stuff on top of them is a classic.

I think most of that stuff isn't related to being a girl in any way whatsoever.

I loved the part where Umio does super dramatic breath, leading us to think a 'get it together' moment is coming...to just break down bawling.

Episode 6:

• Do your best, Sensei!
• Them's encouraging words, Umio.
• Full throttle for the finish... Ah no, the old fashioned 'spilled ink ruins everything' tactic!
• Sensei's Crybaby Negative Potential, it's contagious...!
• Umio will save the day with a rousing speech... ...No he wasn't spared, either...! ...And that was the cure. Umio saved the day!
• An aspiring mangaka is never idle. White out, folks!
• Um...does Sensei really need Girl Power badly?
• Somewhere, the line between reasons for lack of Girl Power and outright trolling. blurred. One minute, Director's a reliable dude, the next minute, he's a tormenter. Beware!

Episode 7. In which there's bouncing.

That always works. Say someone's paying and then walk away before he can deny it.

I recognise that pool, if only because of a tag on Danbooru. Sounds like they recognise it too.

I think they took a wrong turn somewhere.

I think the change of topic was a little for the worse than the sexual harassment she was currently engaging in.

Just plain wrong. Well, she did fail at female before. According to the show. And I kind of prefer the pink one she imagined.

Ninja girl gets a bonus point for actual ninja skill.

He's good at festival stand games.

Can't say I disagree. There's no time a beer tastes as good as after a hot bath.

She looks like she's hungover before the evening's over, rather than plain drunk off her arse. I just wonder how she managed to drink that much liquid. Which is my usual question for heavy drinkers.

Ah, papercuts on cardboard boxes. I remember a particular type I used to carry at a job I had. Before I got used to doing it properly, I always looked like a walking suicide attempt.

Some weird lighting. Sure.

While I do agree with the sentiment, it's still needlessly glorifying.

Next episode could be interesting.

Episode 7:

• To the springs. And of course you're paying, Director. You suggested it, after all.
• Well, that sure was awkward.
• Everyone has someone they like. Except Kameko.
• A good actress, or an actual ninja? I'll go for the latter, thanks.
• Sommelier's good at whacking moles. Umio's a mole too, it seems.
• Aw, Kameko really is camera shy. ...Or was there a deeper meaning to what she said?
• Do tears count as vomit, Director? ...Anyway, poor Tsumorin.
• Hio always asks the big questions. And Director responded in kind. Another awkward moment.

We need to get more men in this show so Kameko doesn't have to be forever alone. Or lesbians, whatever.

Director, u so tsundere :P

We need more of Director speechifying. We need more of Director, period. He's easily the best character in the series.

Pshaw, Sommelier is best character. :P Director can be second.

I was surprised they had that Kameko bit about her sense of self-worth in the group. That is bound to be confronted later.

The onsen episode!

- They walk into the public area naked. Trauma ensues.

- Tsumorin gives Sensei and Hio Very Professional Breast Exams. More trauma ensues.

- Attack on Uncle everywhere. EVERYWHERE.

- Kameko, your lack of an obligatory male love interest is what makes you the best character, why can't you understand?

- Tsumorin, you are 1000% too drunk, go out with Kameko or something.

- Spring is panties, fall is breasts, it all makes perfect sense.

- Hio-tan, what even.

- Director, the saint of oppai.

- To summarize: Okay then.

Summer is breasts too.

Now I wonder about Winter...

Episode 8:

• Sensei's so sleep-depraved.
• And so ends a chapter. Farewell, Sensei. Good luck at being an assistant... Wait, you're still on board? Then why was I getting sentimental? Give me back my tears!
• Hey a sequel to Lime Cat! Sommelier's gonna...wait, this is about Fuga and her passion. Zombeast Mode returns! And of course, nothing's scarier than ghosts. The zombies had a better chance being ghosts. Liked the different take on the Jaws theme.
• Sensei, those dating plans were wild and insane.
• And that is why thinking like a shounen protag is a bad idea.
• A glasses rant Akihito would say without hesitation.

Episode 8. In which there's a lot of Sensei. Not that I mind.

She seems perfectly fine. What's the worry? She even says so herself.

I wonder if they should tie her to the bed to get her to stay there.

I wonder what they all were expecting that let them down so much when he said what his request was. Can't for the life of me imagine what it could've been.

1. I wonder if the Director is prepared for some of the staff aspires to be on the Creator namespace. After all, this is the store Tsumorin worked.
2. I found it interesting that in Japan the centers of otaku culture in major Japanese cities are also the center of electronics trade, such that the title enough conveys this idea to the Japanese. And only the Japanese.

Episode 9:

• Ah, Hio has a sister.
• Having a cold isn't something to brag about, you know.
• Director, being a good boyfriend.
• A day without Director is hell.
• Um, Sensei? I don't think any of those can count as awesome girl power.
• Another Christmas skit.
• See, Sensei? Even Tsumorin thinks you've enough girl power. Stop obsessing over it now.
• Remember, The Power of Love can kill the forever alone types.
• Please adopt a ero book and treat it with care.
• Tsumorin, your book preferences are...something.
