Can't look at the suggestion right now, but I have no idea what the current is supposed to be.
Not sure I think any of the suggestions so far qualify in my opinion. None of them seem that bad, or fanservicey enough that it would cause a dissonance.
Check out my fanfiction! If you look at the current image closely enough, you can see it looks vaguely like a sexy woman with large breasts and Hartman Hips, which, on an Eldritch Abomination, could qualify as this. However, having to look closely at an image is definitely a bad thing, and the suggestion is much clearer.
I like the hippopotamus pics.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAnother idea featuring the same character as the suggestion: her "normal" form◊ alongside one of her more gruesome animations. I'm not sure whether her back dash◊ or taunt◊ would be better for this purpose.
But if we're going with the hippo, the examples section says that he's actually impersonating an even worse looking character, so it might be better to have pictures of that if possible.

As long as that aspect is not visible in the image, I don't think it's a huge concern.
The hippo pics are the best suggestion so far, in my opinion.
I'd say comparing Double to another Skullgirl, such as Ms. Fanservice Valentine might even things out a bit.
This is semantics in the grand scheme of things, but not all the characters are "Skullgirls". The only actual Skullgirl in the game proper is the final boss. But the point stands, Valentine's IPS burst animation involves her tearing off her clothes only to turn into a bloody mess that reappears in a bodybag, so maybe if someone could get a clean screencap of that animation it could work.
yes, that is Semantics. I said "Skullgirl" in reference to another character from that series.
That said, I have the game on my PC, so I can dig up a screenshot.
I can't find any animation frames of her reappearing as a body bag, but I think it would just make the image larger than it is already.

That, minus either the third or fourth images, works fine for me.
Which of the 3rd or 4th images would you prefer?
Flip a coin...the third is a little smoother transition but the fourth is more jarring.

Yeah, that.
I'd prefer keeping the first three of those. The fourth is mostly just gore and nothing else. The third is closer to the trope.
Check out my fanfiction! If only I could make a Reaction Guys meme out of the picture... I won't, but it feels like a reference that would work as a joke.
That combo works fine.
I like that a lot.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I don't have a clue where it is from but umm a person wearing a mask is disservice?
She looks like she is about to rip off her clothes, but she rips off her skin. Clearly it is possible to not see that but I would think it's an extreme minority.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Exposed skull and ribs, thighs splitting open.
The main problem I have with this image is that it doesn't really play up the "sexy" part of the trope, only the disturbing part. Double definitely qualifies for an example, but said examples can't be explained without motion.
For that reason I'd like to propose this image◊ from the same game, minus the text box if possible.
