Good question...I'm not sure why this is marked as a YMMV page, either.

We opened another discussion! Now there are only 11 locked threads on the front page. Sweet.
Anyway...how is this even a page to begin with? Cut.
It's got 40 inbounds, so a cut isn't likely. It does need some crosswicking, though, once this thread figures out what to do with it.

I don't know, I have to wonder how "some sci-fi fans call themselves 'fens'" ever made it to a page in the first place.
But if we can't cut it, then sure, Useful Notes, because it certainly isn't a trope.
That page isn't really worth keeping. We could just redirect it to Fan.

Redirect. Even better idea.
Support redirect to Fan. Perhaps make a tiny note on that page about "fen".
Not right away, not right awayRedirecting it to Fan seems reasonable.
It's a term definition page. We have many of them.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanExcellent idea.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.to redirecting and mentioning "fen" on the Fan page.
Fanspeak pages were apparently mass-moved to Audience Reactions or YMMV. This presumably got swept up in that. It might be useful to list this, and some other not-so-subjective fannish terms (e.g. FIAWOL and GAFIA), on the Fanspeak page directly, since they do appear in works. I don't see a lot of point in having a separate page for this, though, so a redirect to Fan seems reasonable.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Y'know, just to cover all our bases, I think we might need a page called "Stop Trying To Make Fetch Happen".
Bumping this. Are we in agreement about redirecting this one?

Fen seems to be a useful note more than anything else. It's just a slang term for "fan". It's marked YMMV, but no page links to it as if it were a trope or YMMV article. There's nothing subjective about the term, so I don't see why it's in YMMV space to begin with.
