Besides, Linkle just got herself some Armed Legs after a good chunk of her Crossbow charge attacks where kicking people.
As bad as it is in Smash, I would also like to see a magic-based moveset for Zelda.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. It's a fair possibility given that the Crossbows sit around high-mid tier, actually.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!If you could give every character one more weapon what would it be?
Give the Staff of Seasons to someone, like Cia (cause they aint putting in Din at this rate :\ )
thatd be fun
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaI'd give Impa something like a Fuuma Shuriken moveset with Darkness as its element- It's weird how the character whose predecessors included the Sage of Shadow to not have a Darkness weapon.

I sure said that!Fuma Shuriken might be too ninja-y for the more Samurai version of Impa we got.
Maybe a Kanabo, then- One of those big iron clubs both samurai and oni are often pictured with.
I sure said that!So Impa gets access to the entire weapon triangle, you mean?
I'd give Ganondorf a punching moveset. Then latter on give him a moveset where he casts spells and summons Phantom Ganon from horseback.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!I'm not saying that Skull Kid needs a Majora's Incarnation moveset where he moonwalks enemies to death but I'm saying
they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobGeez, a new weapon for everyone? Well, I'm going to exclude Link from this, because he already has enough. But sure, let's roll through the list. All this, of course, just my opinion.
- Zelda: Wands. There are several magic wands that have appeared in the series that haven't had representation yet, like the Cane of Somaria. This would give Zelda a more magic-oriented moveset.
- Impa: Jutte. Maybe seen more as a peacetime policework weapon, it's still a traditional symbol of law and order, appropriate for Zelda's captain of the guard.
- Sheik: Daggers. I mean, it's not like she isn't using plenty of kunai already, but if there was anyone seemingly built to have a small blade spam attack, it's her.
- Lana: Horns (as in, the musical instrument). I figure that she's the usual stand-in for the Deku-related additions, so she's the one who gets Deku Link's instrument.
- Darunia: Drums. See Lana.
- Ruto: Guitar. See Lana.
- Midna: Shield. Rather than just reference the Ordon Shield gag, actually make a moveset around it. Also, the Captain America jokes write themselves.
- Agitha: Bug-catching Net. It's time, plus it can have a gag about being excellent and deflecting attacks. Also, who else should get it (besides Link, of course)?
- Fi: Sacred Bow. Given that the will of the goddesses seems to inhabit that frequently, it's the closest to a logical choice I can find. And given that both Zelda and Linkle will already pull out bows when the bow item is available, it makes just as much sense for Fi to do it.
- Ganondorf: Cape. For one, there are a few cape items that also aren't represented in the series. For another, the swipes and flourishes with a cape would be a way to do a fisticuffs moveset for Ganondorf. Finally, seriously, who better to have a Badass Cape than he?
- Zant: Helmet. It's kind of strange that Zant's most notable piece of equipment never gets upgraded, right? Maybe give him some sort of wild charging moveset.
- Ghirahim: Demon bow. Gotta keep him consistent as Fi's dark mirror.
- Cia: Scrying crystal. This might put a bit more of a parallel between her and Lana - just as her staff and Lana's summoning gate are rough parallels, so too could be this and Lana's book. This would probably be a bunch of focusing of light and maybe water magic.
- Volga: Broadsword. The broadsword doesn't get enough love, and if anyone feels like they'd be good with it, it's Volga. Also, it could resemble a dragon's claws to keep his design theme.
- Wizzro: Medallion. It'd be nice to represent the spell medallions of Link to the Past, and he's the most fitting. Also, it could make him play like Evil Sheik, which would be interesting.
- Twili Midna: Twilit Hands. I know she and Zant already pull these out for some of their moves, but imagine a moveset built around them - long distance wrestling action.
- Young Link: Hookshot. I mean, he's from the games where the hookshot really came into its own, and as seen by Tingle (bombs), Zelda and Linkle (bows), and Darunia (hammer), a subweapon can match the main weapon. A possible positioning master weapon.
- Tingle: Quill. If anyone would be goofy enough to try "the pen is mightier than the sword," it'd be Tingle. Maybe laying traps similar to what you can do with the spinner or Cia's staff.
- Linkle: Compass. I mean, it is her personal focus. Also, it'd be hilarious if she started doing flips all over the map just because her compass told her to.
- Tetra: Scarf. Rather than a new weapon, I thought it'd be interesting if she called her pirate crew in to fight for her, represented by her scarf. With finishers being various types of bombardment.
- King Daphnes: Moon Pearl. What if different transformations was his thing, controlled by the pearl that let Link keep his shape in Link to the Past? He could do all sorts of transformations referencing previous Zelda games.
- Toon Link: Four Sword. I've talked about this previously.
- Skull Kid: Recorder. What if different instruments gave him different Magic Music powers?
- Medli: Violin. Yes, I know it was Makar's instrument, but it was a sage instrument in the game she came from, so I like it. Plus, between the bow and the instrument, she's effectively a fast dual wielder this way.
- Marin: Spyglass. To tie together the parallels between her and Aryll, maybe give her access to this and seagulls that come to aid her. Wait, should I spoiler alert that?

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I'm not gonna try to list EVERYONE, but some neat weapons for existing characters would include a kusarigama for Sheik or Impa, Gust Bellows for Link, Sand Rod for Toon Link, Grappling Hook for Medli, and... an Empty Bottle moveset for Ganondorf?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I would say an "all masks" moveset for young Link.
But that would probably just be a mix of Darunia's, Ruto's, and Lana (staff)'s movesets.
...
Can I say Harp for Zelda, Rapier for Sheik, Book for Cia, and Scepter for Lana?
I have a message from another time...Only if we also get this◊.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I would personally like the Shiekah Slate for Link's Darkness weapon and a Timeshift Stone for Fi (With which she can summon ancient technology like the Ancient Robots and sentries and Beamos)
As an aside, I'd like it if Lana's basic attack string and Water-oriented finishers were left to her in a Rod moveset and Saria got her Spears along with the tree stuff next time.
I sure said that!Screw Saria, Makar is better and its more of a hole in the cast when he's missing then when she is.
I really wish HW had its own amiibo line. Figures of classic Zelda characters would have been awesome, plus it would provide an additional method of gaining weapons for everyone who isn't in Smash.
Though it's mainly because I have a really strong feeling that BotW will have the ability to scan amiibo to gain unique weapons.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.LA Update is now live in US and EU.
Hmm... the update featuring both Kung-Fu Linkle and a map based on my favorite in the whole Zelda series. Why yes, I do think I know what I'm doing tonight.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Man. I am so far behind.
I don't even have the master WW pack yet. I haven't even finished the WW map.
I have a message from another time...Honestly, I haven't either. Hell, if you want to make a point of it, I still only have finished two maps in the WiiU version (I'm about halfway through both Twilight and Termina). I... uh... don't have as much time for gaming anymore, admittedly.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.oh my god linkle's boots victory animation is really cute

"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~Civia
None of them are direct punches though except maybe the WPS, which is a claw slash.
Ganondorf's punching moveset needs exact versions of the Warlock Punch, Wizard's Foot, Gerudo Dragon or Flame Choke, Dark Dive, Volcano Kick, and of course the Thunder Stomp.
