If he's using the same shell to make each game, I'm not too surprised that he's able to put them out so quickly.
but the only way to discover the truth!
is ... to leave the "safety"... of the office... and brave the darken corridors... at night!

And if he sprints them out to tell the complete story... well, that works, doesn't it?
I do think that I have a different theory on the date discrepancy.
Simply put, there were more than one set of murders at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
We are talking about a company that regularly covers up the deaths of security guards. And we all know about how many horrible things happen there. It's not exactly stretching things to assume that more than one set of kids died there. And if they'd be willing to open up after one set of kids got killed, what's to say that any number of child deaths would stop Freddy Fazbear's Pizza from opening?
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.People seem to have taken one of the Purple Men appearances holding a phone as proof Phone Guy is the murderer, but that doesn't appear to make a whole lot of sense, plus it's taking what the game says in those minigames at face value, which seems unwise.

BB is the only character not to be present on the map
Since you're playing as Freddy chasing Maroionette and the purple man can appear
If I'm reading that map correctly, it's just an 8-bit representation of FNaF2 era Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. So the death minigames "happen" roughly around when the second game takes place, unless they're just delusions.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Well you are dead so delusions are possible
I'm not buying that either. If you look at the model, he seems to be wearing a badge as well (which implies some sort of police officer or security guard. As far as we know, the Phone Guy isn't a security guard (except when he takes over your night shifts).
That and his actions and personality don't really make sense if you assume he's the killer. You could kinda spin him sounding distraught about the murders on Night 6 as him making an alibi or something, but why stay working there for so long, and also put himself at risk to help someone else who took the job later? Doesn't add up.

Reason why they think its phone guy is that they think the knife is actually a phone which is just silly
Its Atari Graphics
It could be gun for crying out loud
^True.*shrugs* Either way, I think its stretch to think it looks like a phone
I dunno, I can see a phone. I can also see a gun or a freaking purple banana
But still, it does look like a phone.
Probably a taser. A gun would not subdue Freddy at all considering he is a robot and all. I would assume though that the crying child in the Give kids cake mini-game was either killed by a gun or a large knife that splattered the door with blood because near the end of the mini-game were the kid is killed by Purple Man the other kids that Freddy was taking care of are clearly upset as they don't accept cake anymore.
I personally think the 6th kid was the very first murder which traumatized Freddy (assuming he is a Protector Of Children) and is the kid that is haunting the Marionette.

Have a theory for all this.
1. The robots were sentient the whole time.
2. The Golden Freddy is symbolic of insanity and delusion. This symbolizes Freddy going insane.
3. The robots loved children and succame to grief, guilt, and rage after the murder. This is supported by the kill animations, which seem to be indicative of rage.
4. Foxy's madness is the result of the trauma of witnessing the corpses.
5. The net result is that they have become Knight Templar Sympathetic Murderer Tragic Monster types. Its implied that they hate all adults, especially night shift workers.
6. The puppet is the leader, sort of like a Hive Queen. Her AI also went insane which in turn contaminated some of the other robots.
When you clean up the backwards speech in the 1st game, it says something akin to "You shouldn't have come back." which implies that they think they're avenging the murdered children. Since the old mods lack facial recognition software and they don't know the culprit was arrested, they think they're hunting the culprit or one of his partners.
An additional theory:
Scott is a When They Cry fan. The reliance on psychological horror/insanity, the answer a few —> create more questions, the usuage of Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane, and especially come up with the truth on your own are all core characteristics of those novels. Also, Golden Freddy from a mystery perspective works on the same premise as the solution to the ending of Watanagashi-hen.

re:last part:Oh fuck yes
moved to Oceanstuck because this handle was starting to bother me my tumblrI can vaguely see FNAF as a sort of Higurashi-super-lite... but I don't think the comparison is all that strong. Could you elaborate on the similarity between Golden Freddy and Watanagashi-hen?
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableHallucinations that kill the victim by scaring them so much and having a heart attack.
...and I think you guys have gone loopy with theory-crafting.
Wait, is that official, or fan?
Fan art.
The Artifact. Is currently Lazy Hazy.Ah. Pretty good, then.
We don't know exactly. Scott put up an picture on his website though that implies that FNAF 3 is in the works....
