I would never have guessed from the Russo brothers' previous work that they would do a good job of Captain America The Winter Soldier, much less the outstanding job that they did. It's a good way to give less well-known people the opportunity to prove themselves.
So they're still going by the 2010 script? THANK YOU, FOX.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)Shooting begins in March. Looks like they'll be using Canada again.
Changed thread title accordingly.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWeasel, Blind Al, and T-Ray? YES.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)Wasn't Ajax the villain in the script? I wonder who'll get cast for the role if that's still the case.
The "Any ethnicity" bits for everyone are really nice to look at.
It's possible the character they think is T-Ray might be Ajax, unless they included T-Ray in subsequent rewrites.
Blind Al was definitely in the script though.
Morena Baccarin has been cast as the female lead.
Dang, Morena Baccarin is going to be in this? i'm sold.
Just from appearance alone, my money is on Domino. She's a dead ringer for the character.◊
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I heard the 2010 script featured Vanessa "Copycat" Carlysle prominently, so maybe that's who she was cast as?
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)Speaking as someone who read the script back in the day, she was Deadpool's main love interest, but I believe she was a Badass Normal in that version.
Then again, I don't recall the script featuring Blind Al, so maybe they're doing a few changes.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I guess this counts as news...Rob Liefeld drew Ryan Renolds as the "Origins" version of Wade.
It's...not bad. In fact, I think it looks really good.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)...this can't be Liefeld, the eyes are actually proportional to the rest of the face.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Ryan Reynolds tweeted this, and it made me smile.

Looks like we have T.J. Miller as Weasel. I really liked him in Big Hero 6, so that's pretty cool.
Came across this. Any particular Deadpool moments, listed or otherwise, that you'd like in the film?
Superhero movies have a history of out of left field choices for directors.
