There is no guide to creating such pages because we don't really regulate stuff that far down.
That said, one has to think about whether it's actually funny or (as some pages ended up) it looks merely like a repetition of a certain wordstring or anything like that.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, if you're interested in helping me clean up my SDCP for Sailor Moon, I'd very much appreciate it. And remember: it's supposed to look like it was written by a ditzy teenage girl who doesn't have the best grades out of all the Inner Senshi.
The most important thing to consider, IMO, when making a SDCP is "am I capturing the voice/personality of the character" when making the page? If that's not being accomplished satisfactorily, then the page isn't going to work. For instance, our pages on Magneto and Deadpool do a pretty good job of this to me, but I'm not all that impressed with the Wolverine page.

Hi. To my understanding, there's no official guidelines for the creation of Self-Demonstrating Character Pages (or SDCP's for short), and it's a real problem, though only part of the problem with SDCP's. I'm not saying SDCP's are a cancer to the site, because I don't think they are. However, in my humble opinion, some tips on what to do when making SDCP's would be a good start.
I'm saying this because I have in YKTTW an SDCP that appears to be in need of an extensive rewrite, because the way it looks, it looks a bit too intelligently-written, among other problems. I'm trying to make it look like a TV Tropes page that's written by a pretty klutzy girl who got a 30% on her test in the first episode of a certain anime series; however, I only got one helpful comment that outlined, in varying detail, some things I could do to fix it up. But that's just about it so far, and I still need some help fixing up the page, if not outright rewriting it from scratch.
