Armor King beat Marduk and King so bad after their Tekken 6 endings that Marduk almost died and had to get a robot suit to survive.

On a more serious note, I'm a bit surprised that possibly Marduk, Eddy and Christie are out. I thought that thinning the roster would be done by retiring the Tekken 2 era bosses, but Eddy was introduced in Tekken 3, and the other two in Tekken 4. They haven't been around all that long when you put it like that.

Looks like a mixture of the creations from H. P. Lovecraft and H. R. Giger.

Are they trying to throw some twist in his story here? Yoshimutsu serves the Old Ones or shit like that...

Has there ever been an in-story explanation for Yoshimitsu's constantly changing looks?

I don't think they actually bothered with the explanation, I guess the mysetry was the charm or something.

If my guessing is correct then it is the best explanation for it, since Old Ones can manifest in thousands of forms...

Again, no one embeds the trailer?

I've never been this creeped out by him...

Will Yoshimitsu and Bryan's rivalry finally be resolved in this game? Their endings in both Tekkens 5 and 6 involve the two fighting and one killing the other, and Tekken 7 is set to end the Mishima plotline, so it might be a good opportunity to end a few other subplots while they're at it.

They ought to. It's been obnoxiously stagnant (along with most of the other character's stories) since Tekken 5.

I'd rather they resolve the Hwoarang/Jin rivalry.

This really hypes you up for the next game and then - nothing. Not even a canon ending IIRC.

Albeit, I suppose one could argue Hwoarang is utterly screwed, but then again, look at how powerful most of the cast is already.

i think he pulls off that look rather well.

The reason he looks so weird in all the games is he's actually a massive video game geek who just loves looking like a video game character. And I really like his new design. His Tekken 6 design just felt like a 5 redux. I also like his Rage Art and how it references his Tekken 5 ending.

my older brother said once that Tekken 6!Yoshimitsu looks like Lord Zedd from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.

Now that would be a hell of a crossover.

Coming out of that trailer, I have this to ask: Jack-Gun Jack aside, is the current game's Jack model a upgraded version of the previous game's Jack model?

Jack, Jack-2, Gun-Jack, Jack-5, Jack-6, and presumably Jack-7 are the same character.

IIRC, aren't these the fates of the pre-Jack-4 models:

1. Jack: Trashed by Prototype Jack

2. Prototype Jack: Unknown

3. Jack-2: Fragged by Dr. Abel's Kill Sat.

4. Gun Jack: Shredded by Tekken Force personnel

Y'know. would it be Harada's style to have...um, Jun-Jack? That'd bring the character back into the game, canon.

I think it's implied all the playable Jacks have the same "Personality", except for maybe Jack 5, since his ending is him becoming the host for Gun Jack's AI.

You know what would have been awesome? If they didn't casually reveal Kazumi as a playable character, because the industry would have it in good faith that someone wouldn't data mine the game files and figure out that someone who is possibly the most important character in the franchise is a playable character in the game. I miss being surprised when it comes to video games, but shiiiit that's not the world we live in anymore is it?
