Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

The Ho Yay jokes are funny and something I can laugh at. It's hilarious Chiyo considers everyone a potential obstacle to Nozaki, especially other guys. Nozaki is also one of the best straight men I've seen in forever. You could throw these guys in any situation and it would be comedy gold.

Dude, Nozaki's the boke more often than not. Hori and Chiyo are the most often tsukkomi.

They are, except when they aren't. Chiyo seems to juggle the sanity ball half the time, and is mostly sane when it comes to the reactions of her friends. I like she can be both the exaggerated love-stricken girlfriend and the sane one, sometimes jumping between them in a scene. Her actress is one of the cast standouts in the dub.

That applies to most of the cast actually. They can be the straight man one moment, and become the idiot the next moment. Hori and Chiyo are just happen to be the straight men the most.

I'd rank them

Hori > Chiyo > Mikorin > Nozaki > Waka > Kashima > Seo

In terms of saneness.

The humor worked really well because of everyone's performances.

This is one of extremely few anime that I can safely recommend to anyone, such as Fullmetal Alchemist.

I just love the Seo/Wakamatsu pairing. So innocent, with loads of adorable moments. I look forward to the moment when Waka finally finds out Lorelei's true identity. It's gonna be a gold one.

So I was just browsing through a bookstore and saw volume 8. I bought it (though I only have up to volume 4) and read it in one go.

.......Holy crap, I do not regret the purchase. Practically every single page gave me a hearty laugh. That volume elevated this manga into one of the funniest mangas I've ever read that doesn't involve parodies or crude jokes.

God, I love this series.

In a completely unrelated note, it's a pity (for me at least) that Mayu turned into a boy, because I really digged the girl version's design.

Chapter 86. Chiyo is one step closer to Nozaki. She's making small steps, but at least she's going forward.

Also the art club sure is one interesting bunch.

Do anyone have a list of how the cast's school is translated by different scanlators?

Apparently I haven't read any of the new chapters in a while. It's weird to see the Seo/Waka and Hori/Kashima pairings actually seeming to have some kind of progress.

It seems Sentai is taking a lot of their licenses to strictly Amazon including this one.

Forgot to keep up again for several months. The more recent chapters really seem to be ramping up the ship tease.
