about his powers. He just wanted to be normal, also the powers have no downsides.

-I just need ideas for my character who is jealous about the powers.

"Get over yourself! You have a gift and if you don't want it, don't use it, buddy! I guess everyone else would be better off that way, because who wants a whiny hero?"

Or something of that nature.

Happy Holidays to everyone! Have a great end of the year, and an even better 2015- you all deserve it!

Well, that depends on what he's doing with them.

If he's using them to help people, but winds up facing some of those "no good deeds go unpunished" consequences, then he deserves some sympathy. I mean, yeah, it sucks to listen to someone whining, but sometimes people need to vent and it's the least you can do for a friend who is making sacrifices to help others.

The real challenge would be saying something that didn't make you sound like a 5-year-old or a cast member from Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia (whichever is more immature).

Embroiled in slave rebellion, I escaped crucifixion simply by declaring 'I am Vito', everyone else apparently being called 'Spartacus'.

I believe you presented this same question in the Anime/Manga section before bringing it here, so the context is that he's the only Muggle in a world where everyone has powers. His powered friend wants to be "normal" - which I assume just means depowered, because having powers is what constitutes normal in this world.

"You try living in a world where everyone has a gift, while you were born to have nothing."

"You don't understand just what you have. Do you know how much I would give to have what you hate? It'd change my entire life."

Or you can bring up a certain situation where everyone with powers can do, but he himself cannot. Let's say for example, that everyone can use magic until it's a part of mundane, everyday life, like preparing breakfast. The guy could lament to his friend how he can't even toast bread without having to find and use now obsolete tools for it, when someone else can just do it without.

"There's still plenty of opportunities for you to snap and kill them all. Just saying."

evil grin

More seriously, I'd work towards finding out the specific issue they have with their powers and working from there. Like getting a Power Nullifier for the Power Incontinent.

Likewise, If the issue is that that he has so much responsibility, I'd suggest trying to get puny mortals to pick up the slack, and stop them from Holding Out for a Hero.

As for Bullying a Dragon, I'd ask the bullies why they think it's a good idea to provoke the man with laser vision.... and that they're not helping the entire Then Let Me Be Evil problem.

edit: Looking closer at the OP, I'd point out to him that he could never be normal. If he could just remove his powers, he'd still have the memories of possessing them, something he could never share. Furthermore, he'd probably miss the thrill of possessing such power, or endanger himself and other form either abandoning his duties or trying to use his now-absent powers for such duties.
