Any of the Ma3 pics work for me...I lean toward the second or last.
EDIT: Agreed, 2 is what I meant to type from the get-go.

My favorite would be 1.2. Having a guy Distracted by the Sexy in the background emphasize the fanservice more, I think.
1.2 is good. 1.1 is a close second. I don't like the others.

That's pretty good but I think the Ma3 pics do just as much with less.

The Olivia Newton John with her in blue would be nice. Fanservice doesn't have to mean scantily clad women. Failing that, it would be nice to have something from the female perspective for a change.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyYeah, well those are harder to come by since most fanservice is straight male oriented.
Here's a panel of Batman weightlifting weights◊.
I was thinking about that. Here's◊ an animated GIF of Captain America on the punching bag from the Avengers movie, if anyone wants to try to get a still from it. isn't bad, either.

If we can't use the Ma3 image, then 8 is great.
The movie Captain America is just going to be Some Guy's Back, if anyone extracts a still. The comics images are nice, but even with selective cropping, they'll end up cramped once they're taken down to 350 wide. I might see what I can do with them, though.
= Spindriver =Those three, reduced to 350 wide:
The X-Men one (which I cropped to ensure legibility) just came out kind of crude and messy, but I guess it has the interest value of fanservice being weaponised. The Batman one scaled down better than I expected, and does give both male and female examples (let's not talk about that thong). The manga one is just meh, and not very fanservice-y, if you ask me.
= Spindriver =not sure we need the text at all.

And now it just annoys me. It's just a workout until the butt shot, which flips it over into sheer gratuitous fanservice. But okay, call that a candidate too.
= Spindriver =I was going to promote the 1.5 Mà3 pic, but the above is clearly superior, with no need of a caption and the fanservice being obvious and intended. Now I just wonder if it isn't a bit in the racy side for an illustration, but that's the only down.
I have to say that I'm leaning increasingly towards the second Ma3 pic, if only because it features a bit of humour (which itself emphasises the fanservice aspect). But it's early days.
= Spindriver =I'd rather go with something that's blatantly fanservicey to discourage tropers from adding an just because a character they find attractive is working out.
But then, an attractive character working out is going to be blatantly fanservicey.
Heck, that X-Men page is arguably not fanservice, because the character is exploiting her attractiveness for an in-story reason — it's not there to please the readers. Well, not just to please the readers...

= Spindriver =If anybody can get a better snapshot from Police Academy 6 then I suggest this scene, but a few seconds earlier since she's just gotten up in the link.
Although it may be that Distracted by the Sexy is simply too prominent in that example.
I'm too distracted by the weird-faced guy who's lifting weights to see the trope in that pic.
He's not weird faced, he's choking because the man who's meant to be making sure he doesn't drop a barbell on his neck is preoccupied. But if you can't see it I guess it doesn't work.
I think we have enough options to start up a crowner right about now.
Having a crowner is a must. Just for the record, my favourite so far is 1.4 because it's an example in live-action and it's Female Gaze.

Oh, not really. Captain America is an attractive guy but I wouldn't say that the gif of him boxing is workout fanservice. They're workout still need to be presented sexualized manner.
Also, we can have cases of a character exploiting her attractiveness for an in-story reason as fanservice. The description of that trope points to the beaver shot from Basic Instinct, which is a character doing just that.
Not sure how your defining fanservice but the definition this site uses is broader than that.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
A little while back, I gave Workout Fanservice an illustration, but it's since been pulled, basically on the grounds of Does Not Illustrate. Well, I'd disagree, of course — but anyway, I don't think that it's that hard a trope to illustrate, even within various current rather vague rules. So here are a few suggestions, including a tweaked version of my original choice and a couple from the archetype of the trope:
