This image seems very out of place. All I see is a Dutch woman holding a poster of cat that was Driven to Suicide.

Agreed, that's...just freaking ugly, honestly.

I wouldn't say it's ugly, but I have no idea what it's supposed to illustrate.

This one might be hard to illustrate.

I suggest a pull. It might be possible to get something else from that work (the animated film "Igor"), but this image is a mix of Fan Myopia and Just A Face And A Caption.

Pull it. Makes no sense to me.

I've never seen the movie, but I think I get the pic. The poster is a dark reflection of the meme-tastic "Hang in there!" poster featuring a kitten — see, instead of being a cute "about to fall down" thing, the kitten is actually being hanged, because this is (apparently) a universe that enjoys that kind of suffering.

But the sheer number of people who've already posted who didn't get it is reason enough to pull, IMO.

pull. No clue how it's supposed to illustrate this trope

How about this comic, second panel? Or second and fourth?

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

[up] Panel 2 of that is good.

It might not give the entire explanation for the trope, but it conveys the right idea, so I approve.

Panel 2 + 4 is workable, I suppose.

That's bad enough. The new pic's up, potholed, and tagged. Caption or no? Seems good to me as-is.
