Mass Effect General Discussion (spoilers)

I'm playing a Vangaurd right now too, so having Kaiden and Garrus balances me out.

You also get a good balance with Tali and Wrex, and the resulting banter is impeccable.

So, the awakened collector is awesome, with its whole "lets detonate a general area, and in the meantime just assault rifle away" deal.

How do Awakened Collectors work anyway? Was Mordin's whole "replaced by tech" speech BS?

They're controlled by the Leviathans.

I thought their connection to the Reapers was severed and they gained awareness

The AC's character info. It's kinda vague, so it's a toss-up whether they are still puppets or went through Deprogramming.

Wow, I just got level 6 Colossus armor from completing Bring Down the Sky. I thought it's lowest level was 7?

Bring Down the sky doesn't level scale it's armour drops, I think.

Or am i thinking of Pinnacle Station?

Pinnacle Station has drops?

Well, you can buy stuff from your apartment and that isn't level scaled.

Oh, I never had the patience to make it that far. I'm a terrible person.

What all do you get?

Level 10 gear.

I wouldn't know, since the PS 3 versions never got Pinnacle Station due to corrupt source files.

No big loss though. I've heard bad things about it.

It's not that bad. Probably not worth the price, but it's fine as a short little "Let's just go shoot stuff" thing.

I'd love to have Pinnacle Station on PS 3.

I guess its not much of a loss to me. I mean, PS 3 gets Bring Down The Sky for free, and that mission was pretty decent. Plus I got a pretty radical set of armour for my wil' babe Tali <3

If I had Pinnacle Station, I could buy all the best armor instead of using the RNG to get it.

Or just console it, instead of bothering with the most inconsequential piece of DLC in the trilogy.

I completed Pinnacle Station once. It's a really cute section and a nice little taste of what life might be like for people in the Mass Effect universe who aren't necessarily part of the military. The characters were fun but otherwise I think it's just not worth my time.

Mmm, I think they wasted an opportunity by not writting things so you could bring both Drs. Chakwas and Michel into the Normandy in 3. Seriously, British accented veteran versus French accented Naïve Newcomer? That would be a match made in heaven!

And it is not like you have to choose between Adams and Gabby-Ken...

Quick question for future reference, do you always need to build a party in ME 3 multiplayer, or can you just jump into a matchmaking system? Because...I don't have any friends at all.
