I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.My parents aren't into things with sex, violence, or science fiction. So, that kinda rules out 80% of what I watch.

The Matrix. My mother can't get it, pure and simple. And while I don't particularly feel for Fatherland, my mother couldn't get that one either. Apparently the concepts of parallel realities or alternate history are completely baffling to her.
