Noooooooo!!! Halo 5 is ruined! Ruined I say!
Obvious Sequel Hook aside, that's even worse!
At least you don't see Peter Parker disco dancing on the street.
Some cool Halo 5 footage from a press event, playing as Blue Team on the second level. (If you don't want spoilers, stop watching after the Hunter knocks John into a pit.)
That assault rifle does look like it has a really small bloom. Not a long range weapon by any means, but capable of pinching around jackal shields. The scoped in bonus doesn't seem like a smaller reticle, but less recoil.
Bunch of new stuff.

Mini-vidoc, in-game footage of the mission taking place in the Sangheili ruins they showed screens of a while back, and a dev blog. Great stuff.
^ So much fucking want. Now I hope they didn't pull a Halo 2 and we find out this is only half a game and the rest waits for Halo 6.
Apparently it's the biggest (longest, widest, tallest, to use the exact phrasing) Halo yet!
So if it's half a game, it's a daaaaaaamn huge one.
It looks like there's a lot of tactics, and I'm interested in seeing what crazy tricks speedrunners and competitive players will come up with. And that most of those tactics will still matter on Legendary. I've been watching a lot of Hokiebird and he's illuminated a lot about how broken Halo 4 is on Legendary.
^^ Ehh, works for me.
There is nothing wrong with leaving us on a cliffhanger, what Halo 2 did wrong was prevent any sort of resolution to the story. In all respects Halo 2 and 3 are one story, separated by 3 years of game development. The only resolution we got was the death of Tartarus.
Best example I can think of the right way to do cinematic cliffhangers is Back To The Future. We are not left with the primary story unresolved, there is confident resolution in each film and a cliffhanger to lead us to the next stage. Halo 2's ending makes more sense when you know about the Troubled Production, their lead game designer left halfway through and they spent too much time on the game engine. So it looked fantastic but the story and level design was not fully thought through.
Feeding The Canons. New...Well...Old Canon Feeder.
Last week's to be precise. This week's should be Friday.
Rest in peace Iona.
Very informative Waypoint post laying out the REQ system.
Or, if you prefer your explanations in moderately amusing video form, here's Mister Chief (you read that right) to explain it to you.
Some of the assassinations look hilarious. Backbreaker? Sweep the Leg? Yes, please. Stances look promising too, assuming what I'm hearing about them altering the end-of-game animation is correct. I want my Brodown back, dammit.
I can haz Halo now?
^ Join the bloody queue!
Oh hey we got a face for Xytan now. Cool.
but HOW?Wow, that's an elaborate headdress.
Also, Fleet Battles and the ground game look really cool. Hopefully they'll get off the ground. I wonder, are they all going to just be grey and purple, though? Seems kind of boring.
Oh, those digs at the hardcore critics/purists/Bungie fanboys/etc.
Some people were fuming during that video, I'm sure.
Borne By StormsHaving just watched the video- that is probably the best thing 343 has ever made. I love it. :D
but HOW?Yeah, Warzone has officially made Titanfall feel quaint.
Of all the things to kick off what may be the second season of Hunt the Truth, I didn't think that a new age cult from a relatively obscure Halo: Evolutions short story would be it.

World Whosball Champion 1945-1991I ordered the $250 edition of Halo 5, so yeah, I'm ready.
So Forerunners are a major reason San'Shyuum aren't the Asari of Halo anymore.
Forget nuking the life out of the galaxy, their ultimate crime was ridding us of Green-Skinned Space Babe.
