This is the most amazing thing I've seen in weeks. It's shamelessly funny. Can't wait to see the actual pilot air .
Looks Like Robin Hood: Men in Tights done right. Not that it was bad but it definitely wasn't Brooks at the top of his game either.
Trump delenda estIt looks glorious.
He's the Doctor. He could be anywhere in time and space. This will either be the greatest show in the history of mankind, or the worst show in the history of mankind. No matter what it is, I'll watch every single episode.
You got some info there wrong. It's Alan Menken, the lyrics writer from Tangled, and the creator of the Neighbors. That would drive some people away... except for most of its second season, the Neighbors was an awesome, fourth-wall breaking show.
I don't know if I'll stick with this for the long haul, but I'm definitely going to give it a look when it first comes out and hope it's as good as it appears.
I am soooooo excited for this. Also, Luke Youngblood aka Magnitude (Community) aka Lee Jordan (Harry Potter) will be in it. This looks like over-the-top campy subversion I will love. Apparently it is only scheduled to be a between-season filler so it may avoid dragging out too long, as long as they don't try and take an originally sort-term/limited season idea and milk it if it does well. And I am sure it will do well and cannot be convinced otherwise.
I'll definitely be curious to see what they do here.
Also, the lead looks so much like a young Alexander Siddig, (best known to most as Dr. Bashir) that all through both times I watched the trailer I kept doing double takes. And then tried to dig up if they're related somehow.
| Wandering, but not lost. | If people bring so much courage to this world...◊ |:O
The looks almost like a modern update Musical of The Princess Bride... which subsequently had a love child with several of Mel Brook's other works and I don't know which one is the daddy.
That has been probably the oddest sentence I have ever produced.
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.News alert: John Stamos is going to guest star. Hilarity will ensue. Or at least much hamminess.
Trump delenda estThe show finally gets started this Sunday in Once Upon a Time's timeslot.
Anyone else feeling ready for it to get going?

Oh yes, most definitely. I'm just hoping that it doesn't peter out after a few episodes.
Trump delenda estIsn't it only going to be a four night mini-series?
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureIMDB lists people as being on for up to eight episodes. But yes, originally they were talking about only four. Maybe because they didn't expect it to last any longer.
Trump delenda estI've heard that it's a 4-week thing.
However, I've also heard (but without being able to confirm it) that the thing is going to have 2 episodes a week, which would help explain the 8 episodes part.
At any rate, it's definitely a miniseries, but I think we'll get a full understanding of how it's working out this Sunday after the first episode finishes airing.
Yeah it is going to have 2 30 minute episodes a week I just checked my cable listings.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAh, so each episode is actually 30 minutes rather than an hour as it initially appeared, but they're playing them together in pairs so that they effectively work as hour-long segments.
I wonder why they didn't just film hour-long episodes.

Maybe because it's more of a sitcom-style show?
ophelia, you're breaking my heartMaybe they're doing something like Over The Garden Wall, where even though the episodes were always shown back to back and the episodes are all pieces of a rigid overarching arc, every fifteen minute segment was a self contained plotline.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'm watching this because I heard that Weird Al would be in one episode. By coincidence, I'm watching the "Making Of" thing right now.
This looks pretty neat. I just hope the "damsel" is more than a pair of tits, like the musical ad I saw made it seem.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Somehow, I half-way predicted people would be making such complaints from the get go.
Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some people who start raising an unholy fit over the kidnapping and marriage in the first place and continue to complain about it all the way to the end even if it turns out that there's a major plot twist where she's actually been playing the king the whole time as part of a plot to take over the kingdom as a widow Queen.
I mean, generally I'm not okay with damselling, but if it works, which is rarely, but given this is lampooning traditional fantasy tropes like the Princess Bride, I think this is fine, I have no objections.
I just take offense if that's all there is to her.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."So, I've seen the "Making Of." I am excited.
I'm still bracing myself for the people who make a massive fit about it regardless of anything else that happens simply because she didn't get away killing the king right there for daring to try something like that. And raise a bigger fit about her actually agreeing to marry him after he dared carry her off like that.
I've spent enough time online that I know there are going to be people making such complaints. And I know they're almost certainly going to be very loud and very stupid about it and it's going to be a pain to have to listen to them when the finally reveal themselves.
Alan Menken + the writer of Tangled + Monty Python And The Holy Grail + a dash of Mel Brooks = this thing.
It looks stupid, but in a gloriously enjoyable way. Hopefully it'll last.
