[up] Bronn— er, Ulrich approved. I think you've got it down in the personality. Otherwise, I'm liking all of these characters, and they will mesh quite well. I have some stuff planned already, but again, we'll wait until this thing actually starts.

I am interest! Would a kobold be okay as a PC race?

Depends... I think it could be interesting, and I do enjoy good variety, but kobolds are kind of stretching. What kind of character do you have in mind?

Basically, he's realized that kobolds tend to get killed by adventuring parties. Since he does not really care for getting killed, he's decided to join an adventure party preemptively, disguising himself as a gallant knight. Of course, he's still a kobold, so it is really not even a Paper-Thin Disguise. I figure he'd more or less be a comic relief character.

Hm... I like the idea, so I guess you can write up a sheet. I'll check it as soon as I can.

Working on an elven rogue who's...not your typical elf. In fact he's about as far from Legolas as you can imagine.

Alrighty then! I shall eagerly await both sheets. And I'm curious about this elf... it will be interesting, at least.

  • Name: Veriden
  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Elf
  • Class: Rogue
  • Appearance: To the extent that there's such a thing as a seedy looking elf Veriden is it. Sharp nosed, shifty eyed with unkempt hair, short with a wiry build and, even though he's a pure blodded elf and they are supposed to have facial hair, a permanent 5 O'Clock shadow, not helped by the fact that his natural hair color is magenta. He makes up for it, in his mind anyway, by dressing in a style remarkably similar to a 1970s pimp.
  • Equipment: Lock picks, folding grappling hook, sword cane, dagger, numerous throwing knives concealed about his person, so many that the only way to search properly would be to strip him naked. Also the "pimp clothes" have an enchantment on them that can turn them into either a normal, drab commoners outfit or mottled grey ninja suit as Veriden wishes, the pimp look is just it's default.
  • Abilities: The usual complement of rogues skills: sneaking, lock picking, pocket picking, climbing, knife throwing and running. He's also a skilled Duel Wielding fencer who uses the cane part of his sword cane as a short staff in combat.
  • Bio: Not all elves are born to frolic in the woods and elven society has it's class system and outcasts thereof like any other. Veriden was a disappointment to his parents, whoever they were, from his birth, at least that's what he always assumed since they left him on an orphanages doorstep. He was given his name on the basis of alphabetical order and because it "sounded elfy". An elf surrounded by humans he made no friends and quickly learned the ways of sneakery to survive, running away from the orphanage as soon as he was able. Since then he's made a reputation as a first class thief and occasional assassin.

[up] Hm... the pimp outfit, while funny, does strike me as a tad crazy, even for this.

Ah, what the heck. Veriden approved.

[up][up]You could always join up later.

[up][up][up]If you look at some of the outfits worn by dandies of the medieval and renaissance periods, not as crazy as you think although I will admit I'm stretching a bit. Would it be sufficient to say that he dresses like a dandy and leave it at that?

[up] True, true. It works ether way, really. So that's... 6 people? So, I'll go two more, or only 7, and we can wait for Obasa if she wants to join after all. Either way, we're almost done here. I have to admit, I'm excited. I've got a lot of ideas, and I think this will be pretty fun.

I'll try and get my signup in by tonight.

EDIT: Stuff came up, sorry about that.

  • Name: Sir Guy Pierre Roquefort de Montague-upon-Avon XVII, Esq.
  • Sex: M
  • Race: Kobold
  • Class: HEROIC KNIGHT
  • Personality: Guy isn't quite the brightest bulb in the barrel. However, what he lacks in intelligence, he makes up for in determination, chivalry, and honor. He behaves how he believes a knight should act: courageous, willing to fight for what's right, and able to hurl creative insults at his enemy at the drop of a hat. His ideal of a knight does not necessarily adhere to reality.
  • Appearance: CUNNING DISGUISE
  • Equipment: Guy wears a standard, though custom made, set of plate armor, and bears a sword and shield to protect himself. The K prominently displayed on the front of his shield stands for Knight, as extra 'proof' that he is what he says he is.
  • Abilities/Spells: He is skilled at sword fighting, horseback riding, and creative insults, as he believes is befitting a man of his station.
  • Bio: Guy was doing important kobold things at his small kobold camp when it was attacked by a band of roaming adventurers! They survived, but Guy knew he couldn't live like this much longer. He wanted to see the world, not to get his head lopped off by some drunken berserker in his backyard. As soon as he could, he ventured out into the world to make a name for himself. Through a series of complicated mishaps and zany hijinks, he acquired himself a suit of custom-made knightly armor, along with a new sword and shield. He decided to celebrate his good fortune at the local tavern.

Double post.

Hm... do you guys think we have enough people to start? I mean, I know I'd be being impatient and a little dumb for wanting to start right now, but maybe later this week? I'm not sure. Seeing as this is my first time G Ming, I don't know if there's anything I don't know. If that makes sense. Does it? I dunno, but it should be worth mentioning that I'll be paying far to much attention than I should to this in a vain attempt at making it shine.

How many confirmed characters do we have?

Because we could just like get it moving, and then let people gradually funnel in.

Depends how many we have to start.
