Pocahontas
You know, this makes me think - is Pocahontas Disney's most "idealised" story adaption so far?

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Song Of the South....

Indeed. Reconstruction was not like that.
There's also Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Indeed
Song of the South also manages to be way more BORING than Pocahontas.
Oh, and Hercules. They definitely skip on the part where he murders his wife and children and where his second wife murders him in an attempt to test his loyalty.
Just saying, the Greeks call them Tragedy for a purpose.
Also Little Mermaid, removing the whole sea foam ending.

Hunchback is an interesting case because almost the whole cast became more sympathetic- except Frollo, whom Disney made less sympathetic, based on what I read about the original.
So it's both lighter and darker than the original, depending on the aspects you're looking at? Still, it's probably one of my favourite Disney movies.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. Also Lion King, if it can be taken as an adaptation of Hamlet.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Oh yeah, I definitely like Hunchback it's just for the longest time it was my first and only exposure to the story so when I finally came across the original I wasn't really prepared for how many artistic liberties Disney took lol.
I'd forgotten how uneventful Pocahontas is. It doesn't look like a whole lot actually happens until near the end.
Independence Day: Resurgence
God, that movie is disappointing.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseYeah, no way it could even match up to the original.
I really did enjoy all of the worldbuilding we got out of it though.
I loved the shout out to Vogon poetry as the sentence for Resurgence's sins. That made the video worth it.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI, Robot.
Some funny moments, but again I feel that when he clearly doesn't like the movie he gets sloppy with fact checking and the nitpicks aren't as funny.
Yeah, some of the stuff he's complaining about was clearly explained in the movie. The robots turn red when they're directly controlled by the company, the robot who saved Will Smith calculated that he had more chances to survive than the little girl, Sony was made with stronger materials than other robots, and that thing about half of the robots in the dock deciding to stop caring about humans or something was nonsense.
This pronunciation of french is absolutely awful.
Worldbuilding is fun, writing is a choreI assume that the incorrect facts thing is meant to be humour for people who've seen to film to laugh at him about, but honestly it's just not funny. If it was funny that he kept missing things that were explained I'd go with it, but it's not even funny.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranYou missed the point of the "robots turning red" sin. It wasn't "gee, they magically turned red" it's more "gee, why would the evil computer bother making everything Color-Coded for Your Convenience other than... well, the audience's convenience." He's complaining about the handholding.
And this may be meeting him more than halfway, but I think the point of the "why didn't the robot save the girl" is because... why did it calculate that? If I recall correctly, Neville's arm was pinned and the girl was just safely in the backseat. You'd think the calculations would go the other way.
I'm somewhat surprised no mention of the Converse product placement, but really it makes sense. He generally doesn't sin the big thing that everyone has already ripped apart.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Yes. Why, other than so the audience can tell them apart, would the "bad" robots glow red?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Haven't been here in a while since most of the movies recently sinned weren't that interesting. Until...
Ah, Independence Day: Resurgence... I don't know what was worse: The fact that Emmerich had (more or less) two decades to make a sequel to the cheesy blockbuster hit Independence Day only for the sequel to end up being a disappointment, or the sudden blatant pandering to Chinese audiences.
Shame really, the worldbuilding could have been handled better... (And yes, I just knew Jeremy would mention something about the unseen war in Central Africa being a more interesting plot than the actual movie... Graphic novels or novels of that, anyone?)
We now return you to the I, Robot sins video...
"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."The robots glow red when they're downloading new software from the company. Seems like a simple way for people to know why their robot isn't doing what they're asking at the moment without wondering if it froze up or something. It's a feature the evil computer took advantage of, not something she created herself.
The girl's car was already sunk into the water and sinking deeper every second. Spooner's arm was smashed, but he was still above the water when the robot rescued him. Assuming the robot can swim, it still would have prioritized Spooner first, and by that point the girl had drowned.
I did like the parts about the cat during the demolition scene. And some of the fridge logic and questionable character actions. And the last joke about Sonny Jesus.

I'm just disappointed that Jeremy didn't take the piss out of Will's character waxing poetic about Converses. Probably the most blatant product placement I've ever seen in a movie.
