In fact, from the trailer it seems like more of a Suicide Squad movie than a Batman movie, but eh. The name Batman definitely prints money.
Also, hello Mark Hamill. Good to see ya.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Actually it's still Troy Baker. His Joker is very much like Hamill's, but he adds his own little bits to him here and there.
I like how, despite the DCNU sense of design, Amanda Waller is fat here.
Is that Tara Strong as Harley Quinn and CCH Pounder as Amanda Waller?
Yes and Yes.
Sweet.
And who's that blue-haired chick? Killer Frost?
Yes. She also could be Livewire, I guess, but Frost has more of a Suicide Squad tradition.
Also her suit has icicle patterns so she is definitely Killer Frost.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureOn a first viewing I thought they could be lightning designs, but on a second watching, no, they look like icicles.
These are some great designs here. Really, the only one that is stupid is King Shark's.
Too bad they have to force this in the Arkhamverse to sell.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).The designs seem very reminiscent of Under the Red Hood. Maybe it's the same character designer?
I think my favorite is Captain Boomerang's. It's true to the character without looking ridiculous.

Amanda Waller must've really let herself go since Origins Blackgate...
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Troy Baker has really proved he's are worthy successor to Mark Hamill. This definitely looks like something I might get and I hope this means we might get a Suicide Squad game in the future.
The laughter at the trailer's end was excellent, yeah, as good as Hamill's at his best.
I think that might actually be Hynden Walch as Harley.
I hope so. I can't tell you how sick I am of Tara Strong being shoehorned into pretty much every cartoon/video game ever.
On my wave, passing oooooooonBaker is a fine Joker. Haters be damned.
Just saw Son of Batman, hoping this one is better. That one was okay but the lower production quality really showed(Talia's VA was terrible).
Anyone else see this ? Just finished it. Now, I've only played one of the Arkham games but didn't matter, this was pretty damn sweet. Wasn't wild about the Riddler's voice, maybe too much Criminal Minds but he wasn't really given much to do. Joker was excellent, though, laugh was perfect and there were some great fight scenes.
Can't understand why the squad turned on each other when they were running for the chopper. Deadshot and Captain Boomerang maybe, that was personal, but it was a big chopper, easily take three... or five.

Looks interesting. Based on the Arkham games? Is it canon in that universe? If so, I suppose it would have to happen before Arkham City since Joker's alive.
I thought it was a real return to form after the badness of Justice League: War and Son of Batman. It was also nice that Batman was kind of in the background for most of the movie, allowing the SS to shine in character and action.
The movie is an Interquel, taking place between Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate and Batman: Arkham Asylum
Probably cause they were all criminals in the end. In Killer Frost's case, the only one she really liked was King Shark, and he died, so why trust these two other guys?
So the death toll for the squad is KG Beast (I kinda wanted to see what he had to offer there guys, what the fuck?) King Shark (proving that Invulnerability has it's drawbacks), Black Spider at least he didn't die first), and maybe Killer Frost (hard to tell since we never see her body afterwards).
I also agree that Bat's background role worked for this movie too.
One Strip! One Strip! In other words, as always, Popularity Power means better character shields. Meh.
Not Popularity Power, Saved by Canon. Given the roles that The Joker, Harley, Deadshot, and Riddler play in the future Arkham games, killing them off here wouldn't make any sense.

No one was putting a gun on the crew's heads and saying 'Have this in the same continuity as the games or else'. Considering all these movies pretty much have their own continuities...
First trailer, and it features the Suicide Squad.
