I think the second option is better...I think Gosh Hornet is supposed to be a play on Gosh Darn It to Heck! but I could bee wrong.
Second option for me.

Hmm, that one might get misuse for ants as well
Perhaps keep the name Everything's Worse With Bees?

No, that is too vague and part of a snowclone family we are trying to reduce.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThen again, this thread isn't about Everything's Worse With Bees at all. Shouldn't we agree on the merge first, then address Everything's Worse With Bees in a new thread?
No, because we don't start a thread for each trope if we are discussing merging them. It would be good to put a notification somewhere on Everything's Worse With Bees that we are discussing a merge here, though.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAttacking Insect Swarm works. It's broad enough to cover fire ants and other non-flying insect attacks.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenIt has to remain specifically about bees/wasps/hornets, or at least general stinging insects, so Attacking Insect Swarm doesn't really work.
Something like "Bees. My God." is obvious, but hopefully we can be a bit more creative than that. Swarm of Stinging works too, but is it... "zesty" enough?
To take one of Catbert's and change it a bit, what about "Bad News Bees"?

Bee Afraid, maybe?

135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Do we have sufficient consensus on merging these two, or do we want a crowner just to be sure?
If it helps I can confirm that Gosh Hornet was a pun on Gosh Darn It to Heck!
back in 2009 the suggestions were Gosh Hornet, Bee Ware The Angry Noisy Cloud, Buzz Agent Of Wasp, or Horse Fly Stampede? not sure were Everything's Worse With Bees was at the time.
Apiform Attack? Territorial Swarm? meh I'll go back to lurking

So no one ever minded that hornets aren't bees? :P
Just to get things moving, I've created a page action crowner. I've only added on option, but if anyone else has ideas they can add them.
nope.
Also, the picture for Everything's Worse With Bees would look great in Bee People once a decision is made.
maybe, fodder for a different discussion at least.

Actually, the image for Everything's Worse With Bees would not work on Bee People, because Bee People is not about human-like bees, but rather about a race that follows an eusocial system, which the Everything's Worse With Bees picture does not illustrate.

Hollered to hook crowner. I actually like Bee Afraid. I think I was going to suggest that before seeing (or forgetting that) it was already suggested.

Voted for a merge.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Calling to merge the two pages to create a trope with a new name that covers bees, hornets and wasps.
So, now it's time to look for a new name. I like Bee Afraid. Though the name has bees in it, I think we can all agree that it covers all of them.

Crown Description:
Gosh Hornet and Everythings Worse With Bees have nearly the same description and apparently identical definitions. They are both about bee attacks.
What's the difference between this and Everything's Worse With Bees? Both are simply about being attacked by a swarm of bees. Gosh Hornet isn't even about hornets, as one would think from the name, but is about bees, which are not related.
Also, what's up with the "Gosh" part of the name? That doesn't communicate anything.
I propose either...
