• All of this was to set up another nice matchup. Yuuya. Reiji. Who will win? I...can't put my finger on it, haha!

Only read the first four Shadowchaser stories so far, and it's been quite a while since!

More to the point, the last time someone made a deck full of nothing but monsters it was said to be a real bad idea.

The game has really changed since those days. Jounichi would be proud....

Funnily enough, an all-monster deck would have been far more viable in the old days.

Hell, you can probably count the amount of spells or traps used in Duelist Kingdom combined in one hand, or at least the duels before the finals.

Back in Duelist Kingdom where everything ran on Insane Troll Logic? I'd think having more pieces around with which to trigger said logic would be better than not.

Finally got around to watching 10 and 11.

Ah, Yu Gi Oh female character syndrome strikes once again. Sorry, Yuzu. Although that finish was a brilliant Hope Spot. Like wow, that was harsh.

Gogenzaka is a fucking bro and outbadassed every other character thus far by like a million points. Sora couldn't predict him and his final plays were just insanely swagtacular and everyone was just like "holy fucking shit". Steadfast Dueling indeed.

Also, I love that every character (minus Reiji and Dark!Yuya) have proven themselves to be huge dorks. Like that poor Constellar player just kept getting shit on.

Well, the way those duels seemed to go was "summon one monster and sit on it", with the occasinal exception being a Blue-Eyes or Harpies swarm. At most, one spell would be played per duel, if you were lucky. It took an oddly long time for backrow to get any real use.

Anyways, I think we are al in agreement that Gongenzaka needs to duel way more often.

He very much does.

As long as we are also in agreement that they don't screw over Yuzu the way they always seem determined to screw over female characters.

I'm willing to let this one pass since she wasn't right in the head, but if all her duels end up this way, then it's another failure of the series when it comes to females.

Can't tell what they are saying but Reji apparently did Fusion, Synchro AND XYZ summon across two turns. The kid is a beast, and now I understand why the older styles have been brought back. What better way to show your power than to be a master of all of them.

Then that means he had the cards, and the whole thing with Shingo was about figuring out how to do it? Clever.

Well, it makes sense that the rival also has pendulum cards.

I'll just say that I don't see how Yuuya is escaping this one.

I think that the only way this can end is with Yuya losing, but then the Dark Duelist shows up and makes the whole thing moot.

If he appeared in the same place as Yuya, then there would be indisputable proof that the latter never attacked Shingo, and they'd lose their excuse for coming after the You show school.

Though I'm not sure if that would even work.

Which raises the question of why, when Himika and her group came over to accuse Yuya, he never went "what're you talking about, I was here the whole time, and these guys can support my alibi!" Of course, she'd probably still brush that aside, but still.

Because his witnesses are his own friends, who'd be expected to vouch for him.

Whereas one of her witnesses to who jumped Shingo is one of his own friends, which brings it all into doubt. Even Yuzu doesn't understand what the fuck she saw.

So I'm still waiting for the Subs but from what I can gather; Yuya is going to be kicked hard next episode.

I think, the duel will end in loss for Yuya or be interrupted. The YGO wiki article for episode 13 says something about The Dark Duelist appearing. I guess being interrupted is more likely now. Plus, if he was identified as the attacker, Himika would have no case and leverage against You Show. That doesn't mean that Yuya will come out in one piece.

I see. Looks like my guess was on the money. It was really the only thing that could save them.

thing is episode 15 is titled Hot blooded! Yuuzou dojo!. so it looks like the guys might lose and move to Gongenzaka's dojo

Or maybe, it's a training episode. A similar thing happened in Zexal. After getting completely beaten by Kite, Yuma is sent to the Duel Lodge (essentially a Dojo) and after that episode Yuma gets an upgraded deck. I assume the title for Episode 14 "Hot Blooded!! Shuzo Dojo!" refers to Shuzo training the gang in Noburu's Dojo or something.

Alternately, it's just a training episode. He could call it a 'dojo' for the sake of being dramatic, it doesn't HAVE to take place in a literal Dojo.

Also, I don't think that they're going to throw away the setting they've established so quickly. Yuya is not going to lose. He might not win, but he sure as hell isn't going to lose.

He could lose but You Show remains separate due to the Dark Duelist showing up.

Reiji has an Xyz, a synchro and a fusion monster. Inb 4 Sophia.

Still lacking one more card type for that.

Subs are apparently late for this episode. Which honestly doesn't bother me much considering I suffered through Zexal's often multi-week delay, but the ~36 hour delay that's been kept up so far has been refreshingly nice.
