We have a problem with a paragraph in the Broken Base section on the YMMV.Yoshis Island page:

  • The fact that Yoshi's New Islands opening cancels out the original's ending by including a twist that the parents who were brought the Mario Bros. are actually not their parents at all also has the fanbase split between the people who don't mind it & find it hilarious and the people who think that this is very disrespectful of the original Yoshi's Islands ending, which was considered a Crowning Moment Of Heartwarming.

I tried editing the page, and I just cannot fix this problem. Removing the italic formatting from the one of the "Yoshi's New Island" text here fixes the problem, but game titles are supposed to be italicised.

Any help?

You have a triple apostrophe in the possessive, which the parser thinks is the start of bold markup. The only way to fix it is to do what I did and close the italics after the possessive, not before it. If that's not technically correct, then you have to rewrite the sentence to avoid using the possessive.

Fixed in a different way. You can use the [=escape sequence=] to tell it that the possessive apostrophe isn't part of bold or italic markup. This means that the possessive can be left unitalicised.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
