Likewise, YMMV entries on the main page are now represented by a balancing scale. Much MUCH harder to see compared to the red dots that stuck out like a sore thumb.
Also, when I moused over the trivia icon, it gave me a tooltip saying it needed to be moved to the trivia tab.

In my mind, the new icons are a bit less intrusive than the old ones. I like them.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWeren't the YMMV ones balancing scales originally? And were changed to the red dot specifically because it stuck out more and brought more attention to the fact that this entry needed moving out?
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimGiven the hike in new Trivia subpages I've observed in the last 24 hours, I would say that icons aren't less effective than red bullets.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI always remembered them as red dots. /shrug
Okay, this is weird. Ray Stevens told me to move "Playing Against Type" to YMMV, even though that's a Trivia and not YMMV. But Steam Powered Giraffe told me nothing about "The Danza" being on the main page even though that's trivia. What's going on?
I think the Trivia interrobang should be red also.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.FINALLY they've done this. Sure, it's not too noticeable, but I love that they've already marked out-of-place Trivia.
I think they should be made bright blue if you want them to be more noticeable.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Hey is it supposed to change the bullet when the just has a trivia trope potholed within it somewhere? Because I am seeing them on entries that are not triva but pothole trivia because something like whether or not it was exported or what Word of God said was sort of relevant. When I see stuff like that should I remove the pothole to get rid of the innterobang or what?
It counts the first link at any bullet level. If you see a Trivia pothole under those circumstances, it is almost certainly Natter. Consider something like this...
- Trope: Example text
- Word of God says this, blah blah.
That second bullet should be removed, sent to Trivia, or edited into the example.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I see. What I have been seeing is, like
- trope:
- example one
- example two (and Word of God confirms it!)
Yeah, that's kind of bad. Why does Word of God need to confirm anything, unless it's speculation of some sort which doesn't belong on main articles anyway. If the example really does require confirmation, then use a proper citation.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Trivia is no longer flagged in Creator articles, since they are mostly trivia, anyway. Trivia is only flagged in pagetypes work and examples.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI do agree somewhat with the sentiment that the current balance icons for YMMV are simply not visible enough. While I like the actual design, their muted-gold colour simply doesn't register very well against website's white background. It would be an improvement to make the icon more contrasting: I would suggest making the scales' frame in darker yellow (i.e. more like actual gold) colour while the measuring cups could be coloured in dark red/burgundy. After all, we already have multi-coloured "ninja" icon for the forums, so this shouldn't be beyond our abilities.
Someone needs to make the image, then Eddie can decide if it's worth the trouble of switching out.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I have yet to see a page where this has showed up...all I've seen so far is the interrobang.

Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Thanks. If you'll pardon the pun, I don't see what the problem is, that leaps right out at me.
So... now that the site is telling us to move trivia to the trivia page, I guess that means we gotta apply an In-Universe tag to all Invoked examples on work pages, huh?
edited 28th Mar '14 9:10:30 PM by DRCEQ
That, or put [[invoked]] in the line; either is fine.
Just be sure it's really an In-Universe example, and not "this was done intentionally, yo" as I've seen a few times.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Well for internet reviewers like Todd In The Shadows, anything he says counts as In-Universe because it's his opinion that's being objectively recorded.
Well, yes, but trivia about him is still Trivia.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
So apparently, Trivia tropes on main work pages turn the bullet into an interrobang now. Good stuff. I don't think this was documented.
However, can I propose that we make it do the "While you're here, this needs to be moved to the trivia tab" warning like red-bulleted YMMV listings do?
