Are you still talking about putting Longer Titles as Hover Tips? Because that's really unfriendly for Phone Users.
I like the new formatting style, but as for the appearance of the tabs themselves, I'm still rather partial to the old yellow-folder-on-light-blue-background style. Blue in general just looks weird for a folder color.
EDIT: Also, it seems as though that page specifically is treating all spoilers as unmarked, despite my personal settings. Possible bug?

yellow-folder-on-light-blue-background style is best style >.>
Maybe there could be an option for people who like the new ones and people who like the old ones? or maybe default to the new on mobile?
The Protomen enhanced my life.I can see why the tabs thing is being done, and don't have any objections to it, but I think it'd look best with the previous color scheme.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyI also like the older color scheme. The blue one doesn't look very good.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Count me in on the "like the design, not the color scheme" camp.

...Why are we changing folders again?
No, you can't eat my soul. Stop asking.Because change is life.
EDIT: Beats the hell out of me, to be honest, but it's less objectionable to me than messing around with the hottips (which in turn wasn't as bad as renaming Nakama or removing TT or April Fool's '11).

i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyI explained it on the last page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI call it a marginal improvement, but an improvement nonetheless.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyI'm not sure that I like the blue folder names either...if that's going to stick, I'd prefer the icon be a manila color instead of blue.
If this update is too make it easier for phones, if definetly say that making longer titles appear in Hovertext is a bad idea.
Design and function-wise, I like this a lot. The blue matches our standard buttons all over the site, though the generic manila color is what comes to mind for a typical folder.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I second the yellow folder icon if nothing else
The Protomen enhanced my life.I also agree that the folder icon should be manilla with a transparent background.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I approve of the style, but I also think the backgrounds ought to match the background color for each section of the wiki (Sugar Wiki, Darth wiki, etc.)
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!it's a good idea but there's one thing the white squares behind the folder icons make it look a bit unproffesional forgive me for saying xD
i'd suggest something more like this i mean it's not much but if i may say so myself i think it looks a bit more posher than just white boxes what do ya think?

Gonna have to throw my support in with hovertext being bad for mobile devices.
I'm going with Mister R and lalalei in that the folders icons do look pretty bad and should probably be a folder picture with a background that matches the color of the tab itself... I would also prefer the tabs' colors to match more with the design of the website also. As for Hover Text/Long Titles, I don't think there is a good way to adapt them in regards to mobile, but I would at least want one of the two options.
Other than that, I like it.

Wizard Needs Food BadlyTwo little problems:
1.Ugly. Look at it. What is that?
2.That format works for a page with categories, like the character pages, but what about the ones that don't, like, ya know, the actual main trope pages?

please call me "XionKuriyama" or some variation, thanks! | What is the good deed that you can do right now?I like it. And I wasn't expecting to.

- That's a very useful criticism.
- So mediums aren't categories?
EDIT: I'd like to reiterate. if possible, just don't use any background on the tabs at all. they look rather out-of-place once the tab is expanded. try google chrome style tabs, that one looks good.

Is dast der Zerstorer? Odar die Schopfer?x3
Number two is an interesting point. Do we want the main trope pages organized this way when they use folders?
Conversely, it would be better to start organizing trope pages with folders to maintain a standard?
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984um hey shanghai i think he means that on trope pages the folders would go horizontally instead of vertically and that would look weird which is actually something i don't think any of us thought of xD
so yeah i think on pages where the folders aren't split into groups like the character pages they should still go vertically unless the plan is to have three folders a row that would work too i think yes that would work i believe :3
If the blue thing sticks, the Open/Close All button is gonna need a new icon to match the new folders.
I don't really mind the mechanical change (compared to other changes I've seen, anyhow) but isn't the beige-ish color kinda traditional for folders? :/ Does it clash with the blue tab?
