I noticed blight is pretty much the cliche poison status. Except it lasted all the way to town. And carried over to the next expedition.
And I wonder what I should rename my minions...
Also, the whole "come hither" attack amuses me.

Moved handles because mehSorry for double posting, but 'how'' does one know the order of turns in a battle? Or do I just have to guess it?
Often the turns sem erratic too. Certain characters acting twice before some, for example. How does the turn mechanic work here?
Moved handles because mehWe're pretty sure it's dependent on the SPD stat. Higher SPD increases the odds of a given unit for going earlier in the turn (but I'm pretty sure it doesn't guarantee it).
So it's like rolling for initiative?
I need to pay attention if a character gets more than one turn per round from now.
Annnnd my first death happened. RIP Mr Jester.
Man, trying to manage resources can be tricky. The town upgrading and the expedition preparations and during a dungeon crawl.
And I'm getting a better hang on the whole tactical party and enemy positioning thing.
BTW, in the event of a Total Party Kill do you keep your save file? Since it is not "you" in the dungeon, just your henchmen.
And this game made me think of if Fire Emblem was a Rogue Like...

Moved handles because mehJust wanna thank all those helped at the Darkest Dungeon page, It got bigger than what I expected when I created it, in fact it was my first attempt. I saw it grow so quick. Thanks again!
So, is there any way to predict turn order than just guessing?
And how do I camp, or is that not a feature yet, since it's early access.
Moved handles because mehEasy. By right clicking you can use the Firewood to build a Camp. Camping consits out of two phases the food and skill phase.
In the food phase you must choose how much food is eaten.
You can eat:
- 0 food and take 20% damage and +15 stress
- 2 food and have no effect
- 4 food and gain 10% health
- 8 food and gain 25% health and -10% stress
After that the skill phase will start where you can then use Camping Skills. Each skill costs a certain amount of time points of wich you have a total of 12 to spend. Skills can heal heroes, lower their stress level or buff them.

Oh, haven't gotten firewoods as a provision option yet. Guess it's quest specific.
And there is no way to predict turn order, apart from "well, this guy seems fast..." or is there?
Moved handles because mehI might be wrong and the game is subject to changes, but I think it's pretty much a roll for initiative like many Tabletop RPGs. The whole asthetic and minimalism in visual and animation appears to be inspired by them.

BTW, how do I use the "trinkets" from my trinket inventory?
And I kinda let an affliction stay and entered a dungeon just to see how it would be like. An abuse Hellion.
She stressed out the whole group, making my Bounty Hunter hopeless, my Velstal selfish and my Doctor paranoid.
The Hellion and Velstal mostly just shit talked, but the BH started stabbing himself, refusing to be healed and skipping turns. The Doc started to attack out of her own accord, often sub-optimally.
And then I noticed that afflictions also cause stat penalties, that it's not just random actions... They finished the job though!
So, uh, yeah... Affliction bad. Very bad. Doesn't seem so bad at first, but upon more expirience, very bad.
Moved handles because mehDerp double post.
So, apprentice necromancer has been beaten.
Wizened hag almost TPK'd me, only the bounty hunter survived and fled to bring me my loot. That poor leper was left in the pot as he ran...
Wizened hag the second attempt went much better with no casulties.
First two characters at Lv 2 so far!
Man, it's too easy to start running short on gold and heirlooms!

Moved handles because mehMajor update including the Arbalest, Man at Arms, and the new bosses is coming 28th of May, according to a backer only KS update.

The devs just sent Steam keys out to the $15 backers. Woo
It's only early access and I don't even know why I'm hooked to this terribly abusive game that hates me so much.
Moved handles because mehLove Hurts man. Also inspired by H. P. Lovecraft.
I guess I am...

Moved handles because mehI feel like the game's too random to be engaging. I don't feel like it's my fault when a character died, I feel like they missed 3 times in a row at a 75% hit rate. Enemy crits have too much of an effect on stress, turn order is randomized each turn, etc etc. The whole thing just feels like an exercise in frustration and makes me not want to play.
I don't mind difficulty in games, but it feels like exactly the wrong kind of difficulty.
That's actually an issue they're trying to slove, such critical hits and misses are not supposed to be so common.
Basicly, they will have to make it less random so that it will feel more random, funny.
I actually have the opposite view. This is one of the easier Roguelikes I have played, eventually you can get a team good enough to the point you can clear a dungeon by pure brute force. But again, I finished Baldurs Gate when I was 10 years old.

Yeah, the game can be hard early on, but when you start to be able to assemble a good team or 2 it gets MUCH easier...before I stopped playing (was waiting for content update), I basically have lots of problem beating the tier 1 boss...tier 2 later on? I beat ALL of them in 3 turns (not counting the minions (and Wilbur) summoned by the boss) and nearly all of my team are at lv 4...

Give me cute or give me...something?I've played enough Pokémon to have come to terms with the fact that an accuracy below 90% is iffy and at 70% you best not rely on the move.
Moved handles because mehThere's a new post on the official website. Looks like the Brigand Barricade brought a huge cannon to the fight.
Now, if the cannon itself can be targeted, how likely do you think it is that the cannon is as good a dodger as the Hag's cooking pot?
That cannon is going to out-dodge the hags pot, because it will probably be breakable.
It'd be hilarious if critting the thing would cause it to topple over and crush enemies behind it.
Moved handles because mehWe now have a picture of the Gibbering Prophet.
Every time I see that image, I hear: "Grant us eyes, grant us eyes..."

Looks like Father Gascoigne
^ Blight is just DOT, not permanent. But yeah, unless you have a counteract object, it's a gamble on whether you should scavenge that particular thing or not...
