Not a fan of Venom. You can see his chest muscles, yes, but his arm muscles are obscured by other things.
Is there any reason not to add the current image as an option to the crowner? A couple of people defended it, and I don't think we established any consensus to change it.

specifically why I like the lunging picture with a grotesque mutated venom above a Spidey with the oh no not again eyes.
Why that one didn't get any steam is beyond me

That one is my favourite as well. I like the contrast between the bulky Venom and the lesser-built Spiderman, and I think him carrying a car is too easily interchangeable with Super-Strength.
My guess is because there's nothing really indicating that they're meaningful.
The car one has the incredibly muscular guy lifting a car and punching out a guy that most people know has Super-Strength.
The lunging one has him more grotesquely muscular which is great, but he's not... doing anything that would require a great deal of strength. The above poster said Spidey's got an Oh, No... Not Again! look, which usually indicates that he's not taking it very seriously.
