Somebody once told me the world was macaroni, I took a bite out of a tree

Sigh, this is my second time writing this. (My laptop crashed before I finished double checking it) Anyway I like to do RP, I also have this character for a story I want to develop for a story. So lets do both at once and do some RP with him to practice getting into his head.

• Name: Lucius Drake
• Age: 17
• Gender: Male

• Appearance: Lucius is 5'6 (167cm) tall and is thinly built with little muscle definition. His skin is very pale though lightly freckled and a small scar no longer than a inch is on the lower part of his right cheek. He has short straight chestnut brown hair and deep blue eyes that are oddly reflective. He wears a dark blue t-shirt with a white long sleeved undershirt and black trousers. He wears a small silver chain loosely around his neck. (Sorry haven't gotten a image of him drawn yet.) Edit: Well Kazuma from Kaze no Stigma is decently close to what I imagine.

• Personality:Lucius is overall shy, quiet and introverted. He is rather timid and dislikes conflict when unnecessary. (Issues with being physically weak and family reasons on-top.) He is however curious and kindhearted, listening deeply to the concerns of others even if he is too shy to respond. He is good natured and while reluctant and afraid to get into conflict still does when he sees others being mistreated or in a danger. (Even at common risk to his own well being.)

• Abilities: Lucius has a variety of Psychic Powers ranging from Telekinesis, Pyro/ Cryokenisis and a form of Telepathy reliant on physical contact with the target. He also gets the added benefit of Psychic Nosebleed in addition to other drawbacks such as tiredness, extreme hunger and possibly worse symptoms when he overuses his abilities. Lucius also has a incredible memory, one which sometimes haunts him as he can't just forget events.

If you can't get him drawn, I reccomend finding a faceclaim as a temporary substitute until you can. Otherwise, up to ~Wonder Squid

Yes like Trip said you need an avatar. There are lots of art sites out there so you might be able to find something that looks approximately like him.

Otherwise its a pretty great profile.

Well in that case I have edited the post with a character who is decently close enough. His eyes are a little bright in that image and there is no scar on the cheek (though I could edit that in) but it is close enough.

You are going to need an avatar. It doesn't have to be a perfect likeness but you will need something. I would recommend Zerochan's original tag for OCs, since the artwork there tends to be SFW, if not rather stylised at times. Or deviantArt, but I'm ass at navigating DA so I couldn't help you there. Once you do that, though, feel free to join.

Oop, just realised you have an image. Just go ahead and crop that and you should be good to go.

Appearance: Kuro usually wears a black tank top with some sort of theming on it, whether an anime or cartoon. He also has black hair, styled like Spike Spiegel's hair, red and white cat ears that he obscures with his hair to fit in with humans, a pair of jeans, a pair of Swiss Gear sneakers, glasses, a white cat tail, and he always has his headphones on. Occasionally, he will also don the goggles Radical Edward wore.

Personality: Kuro is a Deadpan Snarker who likes to be alone and either ponder or watch TV. Also, being a loner all his life, he has become an otaku, but not to unhealthy levels. Also, when he's not being pestered, he can actually be pretty cheerful, while keeping his smart wisecracks hidden in his gigantic hairdo. He is also obsessed with the '90s, but not to the point of every singular thing from that decade. He is also what he likes to call "semi-OCD." There are certain places that wants neatly placed together and in order, and not just messy. Finally, he...can get really depressed, despite his cartoonish appearance and other personality traits. He was raised by two regular humans, as his parents were too lazy and hateful of Kiro to raise him and sent him to Earth, and is now homeless, so he can get really down, and if somebody ticks him off during these days, he can get really mad. His personality is a result of him never actually interacting with somebody that was his species. His sarcastic and sometimes humorous ways and TV watchinv are a way to help him escape from reality, and it works, for a relatively long time, too. But he's not a comic relief. If anything, he's more sarcastic and depressed-sounding than comical, most of the time.

Abilities: Being an alien (an Nekohito, to be exact), he has many strange abilities. He can transform into an actual cat with his signature hair, glasses, and headphones, to sneak up to enemies or nearby friends. He can also run a good 30 mph when prompted, 7 mph faster than the fastest human alive. Being a catperson, basically, he can climb on walls, as well. Finally, he has the ability to inspect food to see if it has toxins or other dangerous substances.

Species Explanation: An Nekohito is your average anime alien creature. A human with cat features, such as ears, a tail, and the like. However, unlike a Catgirl, their genes are special, in which some have specific catlike features, powers, and weaknesses, while others don't. For example, like actual cats, Kiro is allergic to raisins/grapes, and can climb on walls, thanks to thicker, slightly longer claws. Others might lack this ability, still walk on all fours, and more.

Update: I changed around some of things, such as the names of my character and his species, his personality, and extracted all signs of a plucky comic relief I could notice. Hopefully, this works slightly better.

Anyone wanna play Anna Vampire Resurrection?!

Well, the first thing that strikes me is that he seems to be a little meme-y. Of course, that's not a perfect word to use, but having most of his personality be related to pop culture gives me that impression.

His name being Otaku Fudgelord also contributes to that. It seems to be mostly for laughs than for anything else. Now, playing someone for humor is fine, but your first character should be more grounded.

Also, and not to nitpick, but you didn't explain what an Ikimato is. If it's important to be mentioned, there should be a little explanation of it.

In my eyes, it's not an acceptable signup right now.

To add to what Ramuf said, I wouldn't start with a character whose express purpose is humor. Humor is fine as a part of a character, where it can be used effectively through timing and wit, but when humor is the whole, not the part, it can become expected. The character also strikes me as one of these characters, especially the name and the personality.

I'm not the GM so I can't say anything, but I'd suggest revising your signup with this in mind.

Saw the edit.

I know you acknowledged that it clashes with the happy-go-lucky jokester part, but I really think it just doesn't gel. Most people don't wildly alternate between those two very easily.

It's a little disjointed, I think, and that's not a good thing for any character.

My advice is to start from the ground up and not try to blend the two. If you can, try to make the character more focused.

Oh also.

Yeah. What Ramuf said.

It doesn't have to be totally depressing or totally jokey and quirky but we'd like to see a character with a focused personality. Think up some traits and think about how he came to develop those from his previous experiences.
