Hard not to get JAFAAC-y with this though and I figure the MLP one is a real rare example of it not being JAFAAC.

Very true, but at least something indicating that they're part of the ensemble would be something, at least.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. But wouldn't they all be "it's the one on the right/third on the left" much like the MLP example?
We already discussed the subpages, and there was support for removing their images.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI like the MLP one, if only because it has Visual Pun going for it.
Moon◊I'm good with pulling the pics, wish the same logic extended to Complete Monster subpages (don't explain why they do, I'm aware) but I was already told off for trying.
While I agree on the JAFAAC-ness of most of these subpage pics, Eddie's made it clear that he's not interested in seeing a fuss over them unless someone starts Edit Warring over one. See this thread for reference.
Also, most of the threads related to the topic have ended up clocking out.
^^ It does apply. But the CM subpage images all depict a character doing something monstrous, ideally threatening a child (probably the best visual shorthand for "complete monster") but that is not always an option.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Pretty JAFAAC to me, not the thread for it anyway.

I don't think we should be concerned with JAFAAC for a subpage pertaining to a typical work. The whole point of removing JAFAAC is because it doesn't illustrate to people not familiar with the work that's referenced, but those who are familiar with the work will get it. But if you are going on page for that work in particular, then you are probably going be at least somewhat familiar with it. And if not, then too bad.
Edit: Okay, I just woke up and didn't read the OP entirely. Then I pretty much agree that most of these are JAFAAC.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Oi. Work pages are not just for fans. There are people who read them in order to decide whether to consume the work in question. So no.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanLooking through the subpages, the only one that seem to work is the Visual Pun in MLP's page. None of the other images really indicate that the character in question is 1) popular among the fans, and 2) actually not a main character.
It's going to be difficult to find replacement images though, especially since this is an Audience Reaction trope, and I don't know if removing them all is the best course of action.
I'm thinking of a chart/graph showing the disproportionate levels of the character's screen time against their popularity, but that's probably more suitable for the main page itself rather than the subpage
Apparently the message didn't get through. Locking this; refer back to post 8 if you're wondering why.
Not the Ensemble Dark Horse page itself, but every subpage that has a picture. The only ones that don't qualify for plain JAFAAC are My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and Transformers. I guess Film Boba Fett at least... looks cool, but nothing says "fans like him even though he's not a main character."
