^ He's the thing in the pool counting your deaths.

Anyone know how to get that last coin outside of the Run n Gun levels? (I have all of those) I only have one thing left to buy from the pig and one coin short.

Do I have to A rank everything and speak to the elitist classy fork? Or get a Pacifist Run (or more) to get it from the colorblind lonely turtle at the docks?

Or is beyond the Phantom Express? (Of which I haven't yet beaten, the only one left on Isle 3.)

[up][up] I had the opposite experience. I got salty on Perilous Piers, and then I wrecked Rugged Ridge no problem. Guess there may be some "training" that the first Run and Gun gave us that made the second one a cakewalk.

[up] There's one more hidden coin around the final bosses' map.

The A-Rank guy doesn't give coins. At least I have bought everything already and haven't A-ranked everyone yet.

I hated the piers. I swear I died more times on that level than any of the island 3 bosses save for honeybottoms.

The piers was by far the worst imo. That last stretch was awful.

the pier was cancer incarnate for me until i swapped to chaser for the last segment and first try-ed it. Still the level i hate the most though.

does damaging the shark in Shootin' n Lootin' do anything? i noticed he flashes and reacts a little when you shoot him

[up][up]he seem to take damage but honestly I don't see why you would want to hit him when this attack is one of the biggest openings of the boss and the shark will show up just fine next time he summons it. unless it somehow affects the lifebar of the boss, I don't see the point of shooting it.

I BEAT IT! I BEAT EVERYTHING!

Whoever said to keep the Roundabout handy for the Devil, YOU'RE RIGHT! It keeps those blasted imps off in the first phase and can help in the penultimate.

Now should I Pacifist Run? Or try out A-Ranking/S-Ranking everything? Probably not.

Good job![tup] I think Vertigo was the one who talked about how useful Roundabout was against the Devil (as well as how good it is in general; it's way more useful than Charger for the Expert fights).

A Ranking is probably the easiest thing you can do right now; you've already beaten the bosses, so now you just need to perfect yourself against them. I think as long as three categories are gold, you'll get at least an A-. I could go through a lot of fights without getting hit, but I think it was harder for me to remember to use 6 cards' worth of Super Meter and to Parry three times before the fight ended.

Pacifist Runs I find are harder; if you do one, I recommend taking one of the Heart Charms with you since you aren't going to be shooting, although the Smoke Bomb will still be useful for avoiding damage/bypassing certain obstacles. The Coffee charm is useful too, if you have patience (it charges very slowly); you'll want to save up at least one full Super Meter for the Invincibility Super since it lets you bypass certain bosses without taking an unnecessary hit.

Haven't played Cuphead yet, but the gameplay videos are awesome. Sure reminds me of the likes of Metal Slug and Contra.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!

S-Rank is easy with Root Pack.

Also I found a good bad bug, where if you finish a stage on expert, and go start a new game or a game that hasn't beaten the devil, you can continue to play on expert (your red selection bar will be a small bar to the right of Regular difficulty, signifying you're still on Expert—don't move it though, you can't go back until you load the clear save again).

WHARGARBL!!!!!! Getting S-Ranks and especially P-Ranks is too damn hard!

But I got S-Rank on Root Pack (when my first clear was a B-) and P-Rank on Forest Follies.

Just got this game today. It's pretty good.

My only complaint is that everytime i see colour pink i instantly think of Parrying it. Fucking games and their nonsense.

All Isle 1 bosses A-ranked or better, both Forest Follies and Treetop Trouble P-Ranked.

Treetop Trouble was a lot easier to P-Rank than Forest Follies.

Been trying Rugged Ridge P-Rank and almost made it. I swear a number of things there have some serious hitbox miscalculations including platforms and the mountain lions.

I'VE DONE IT! P-RANK ON ALL STAGES! OH THE SWEET SCINTILLATING SHINES OF THE NEW AUDIO/VISUAL MODES!

Apparently, the elitist fork doesn't give a flying fuck about the bosses, only how well you best the stages. (And apparently P-Rank is higher than S-Rank.)

Now I just need to S-Rank all the bosses. Bloody hell this might take a while...

So a patch came out for this the other day. Among other things (some of which I suspected), the Noob Bridge on the Devil has been broken. You now can't duck under his goat attack. (FUCK!)

I'm going to try it out some time today and see how it affected things.

AU idea: Instead of the bosses taunting you when you die, Cuphead and Mugman do a Bond One-Liner after beating each boss.

Still hoping for Klonoa to get a new game... or a movie like this

This is so great! Cuphead won Best Art Direction and Best Debut Indie Game at the Game Awards 2017! I feel so happy that StudioMDHR won both awards, but there are still three awards left: Best Action Game, Best Sound/Music, and Best Independent Game. Did I miss three of these?
