First I don't see anything glamourous about, and the second link doesn't work.
Check out my fanfiction! No to 1.1 and 1.2 for the reasons given.
3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 are pretty weird "smokings" if you ask me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMaybe the first one. Not sure if it's better than the current. The others I don't like at all.
Check out my fanfiction!I like 5.1 better than the current because of more focus on the "smoking."

5.1 is better than the current because of what said, and it's exactly the classic style I most associate with the trope.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.5.1 is the best so far. How about these: Different take on Yuko◊, Olivia Palermo◊
I prefer 5.1 and 5.3. 9.2 is alright, but she reads as kind of prom-y though because of the crown. I think that 9.1 misses the subtleties of the Western tone of the trope; although Tropes Are Flexible I think that a picture of old-style Western glamour would be more well suited for this. Interesting. I may be wrong but I think that's the general feel of it.
So anyways, yammer yammer from me. I think 5.1 is clear, although 5.3 is my favorite (because that hair is super glamorous).

It is what it is.I like Holly Golightly (3.3 especially). The caption might say something about her being the Ur Manic Pixie Dream Girl.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I like 5.1 best of these.

Oh no.. I mean it, no.
perhaps something more fashionable?◊
EDIT: Male examples anyone? 1◊, 2◊

Ooh, gentlemanly smoking, yes. Does the telescope lessen the glamour though?

I feel the telescope, because of science, means sophistication and intellegence in your man!

Well okay, too bad his skin has the complexion of a well-worn leather recliner but sophistication for science right? Not so sure about the second guy though, piggy eyes.

I should've thought to do these searches earlier: Scarlett Johannson◊, Gina Lollobrigida◊, Ella Raines◊, Marlene Dietrich◊
I like the second pic best. The rest is a little light on the smoking, methinks.
Would definitely need a crowner though.
I feel we probably need more male examples, it's like when I tried to get one single male example for Grandma, What Massive Hotness You Have!'s IP thread a while back just to prove a bit more clearly it wasn't an Always Female trope, totally failed. This clearly has a feel of Always Female about it given all the examples so... I dunno, throw up a picture of some guy to screw with that whole perception.

GIS didn't help; I searched for "actors who smoke" right after I finished the search for those examples and didn't find anything that seemed to fit the model. Now, a search for specific actors might produce better results...say, Humphrey Bogart.

Something from BioShock Infinite?◊
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.shadowy film noir style figures don't really scream glamorous to me, more like "Smoking is Mysterious"
I kind of like 19.2 and 19.4 better. But a crowner would suffice.

For men, I thought to search for "white tie cigarette" and "black tie cigarette", and found the following:
Leslie Howard◊, Guy Madison◊ (very distracting shadow, though)
I also found another great picture, but it was sadly watermarked.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
Not a particularly bad image, but it seem to focus too much on the "glamour" while forgetting the "smoking" aspect. It took me a several minutes to finally see the cigarette she is holding, and even then, it doesn't seem that the character is actually smoking it.
Maybe this◊ or this◊ from XXX Holic?
