Sorry for the late reply Gladonost, got preoccupied with a sudden reunion.

Anyway, for the most part Tiamat seems fine to me, but I do want to know what's the radius of her bounded field NP.

At most about 30 ft, any bigger than that and they don't activate. So no city-wide Denial fields. Just so she can attempt to set up an area to lure opponents to so she'll have an advantage or to protect a certain area from people who don't want to give away their identities too early.

Sorry for the late response, been having some serious internet issues (god damn Mediacom).

Anyway, I want to get at least seven people, excluding myself, before I start the RP. Seven always seems to be a fair number for a Fate RP, so might as well go with it.

As for Tiamat, she's accepted then.

I'm tryin' to figure a build for Beowulf. There was another sign-up for another Fate RP that had a Beowulf in it but I'm pretty sure it was rejected for bein' too OP. Also I don't see him as bein' a Berserker (unless you count the movie version, but I don't). I see him as a Sabre. I'm not really sure what other Class he could go into.

I'm still quite interested in this RP, though nothing specific comes to mind regarding a Servant yet. I'll try to think up a character sheet ASAP.

My Beowulf is the only one that's ever been accepted. Buff his stats and remove M.E. And you're good.

• Class: Avenger
• Master: Whoever. Not picky.
• True Name: Cain
• Gender: Male
• Height/Weight: Short/Skinny
• Alignment: True Neutral
• Appearance: Yo.◊ (Generally wears a head-band or something to hid the Mark)
• Outfits: Sticks to modern clothes only - his era had basically minimal clothing, and being essentially naked isn't to his taste given the current customs. Thus, he wears a loose hoodie and pants, in grey and red.
• Personality: He is a Atoner, desiring only to find his his deserved punishment, which he feels has been denied him (and thus is more or less permanently grumpy). Over the years spent brooding over the one action that defined his life and his legend, he has come to the decision that he fully deserves anything and everything bad that's happened to him since (and possibly before). Thus, his main motivation is to put himself in harm's way to try and atone for his sin, although if he does manage to get his hands on the Grail, his desired wish is to experience the pain he deserves for his actions, for all eternity. Also, he absolutely hates anyone who has killed a family member, and isn't as broken up about it as him (which considering his attitude is basically anyone else).

  • Endurance: B
  • Agility: C
  • Magical Energy: D
  • Luck: E
• Class Abilities:
  • Vindication (C): Grants scaling boosts with injuries, up to a cap when at the brink of death. Reduced in power due to his desire to find final rest.
• Personal Skills:
  • Farming (E) (normally B): He farmed for a living, and has strong knowledge of basic farming techniques, however his Cursed Mark of Cain prevents him from actually using any of it, causing the low effective rank.
  • Architecture (B): One of the first recorded people to build cities, he has passable knowledge of basic architectural techniques.
• Noble Phantasms:
  • Cursed Mark of Cain (EX): As the first murderer, God marked Cain with this. It is located on his forehead, and anyone who sees him instantly identifies him as Cain, murderer of Abel (though nothing else)(It can be covered up, which prevents this from happening). In addition, all plant-life within 10 feet withers and dies. In addition to this, it is a promise of God's retribution to any who would return his crime in kind; Any pain inflicted to him is projected back onto the inflicter at a magnitude seven-times stronger than what he experiences (this only applies to things he can feel; if the attack is otherwise painless, or he passes out in the middle of it, this ability does not function). Finally, whoever kills him is immediately killed themselves.
  • The First Murder Weapon (A) - Anti-Unit: The weapon he used to murder Abel, it appears as an otherwise completely normal stone knife. When used as a weapon, it ignores any magical protection of B Rank or below (but is otherwise a completely normal stone knife).

That may have been my Beowulf you saw. He got shot down hard by the GM.

Alright man, I gotta be honest and admit that Cain is a little tough to deal with... and by that I mean his EX Noble Phantasm. Stat-wise and skill-wise, he's fine. His other Noble Phantasm works as well, but it is his EX Noble Phantasm that I can see to be a problem.

Number one reason being if he dies, he immediately kills the person who killed him, which in a RP-setting sense can leave him to being completely untouched since I doubt anyone would want to sacrifice one of their characters to kill him, which I'm fairly sure will force people to start metagaming when dealing with him, which is a big no-no here.

BUT, I do have a suggestion that might fix this and I would like to hear the opinions of others. Lower the Noble Phantasm Rank to A+, remove the 'whoever kills him is immediately killed' bit, and lower the magnitude of damage dealt back to people to twice, since while I do like the number seven, a simple stab to the chest and having that intensified seven-times back unto someone is absurd.

Now, to compensate for this I would boost his Endurance to A+ rank. The reason I'm suggesting this is because it matches his history to be more of an atoner, and someone who endures much in order for redemption, and it'll give him more usage and playability than just some kamikaze attacker hoping to take people down with him.

How does everyone feel about this?

I'm fine with that. I was gonna suggest for some kind of effect to happen when he dies but I realized that players would still metagame and avoid him like the plague.

While this is what I used, I think you should beef him up a little—namely, Naegling should have some benefit to being smashed, and should be breakable multiple times since being broken was part of its "thing."

That's what you get when you have the strength of 30 men. I'm pretty sure his Strength could go to A or even A + because of that.

  • We Two Shall Do Without Swords Tonight (B+): On the night that Beowulf fought the Cain-spawn Grendel he fought him without swords or armour. Whenever he forgoes the use of weapons he gains a slight boost to his Strength (A+) and forces the opposition into a contest of strength. Great for ripping off arms!
• Noble Phantasms
  • Hrunting, the Once Failed (D); Anti-Unit: The blade bestowed upon Beowulf by the failed hero Unferth. It is said that the sword is invincible and can cut through anything. The only substance it fails to are magically enchanted objects, persons and beasts. It cannot pierce through Servants with a Magical Energy Rank greater than it, though it can still cut.
  • Naegling, the Reliable (C); Anti-Unit: The sword gifted to Beowulf by Hygelac and once used by Hrethel and later used in the fight against the dragon. It is an ancient grey-sword that appears to be cracked in several places. However it proves to just as sharp and sturdy as a blade of equal size and make. The sword cannot pierce draconian armour and will automatically shatter if struck against it but can be mended with time and prana.
  • Swordbreaker: Strength of 30 (A+); Self/Anti-Unit: Beowulf's mighty strength has proven to be harsh on his blades, some of them breaking or failing at crucial times. Beowulf can gain the effects of "We Two Shall Do Without Swords Tonight" even if he has a sword in hand. Additionally whatever sword he currently has in his hand becomes a Rank A Noble Phantasm, however the sword shatters after the duration.

Also I have issues with P Blades Berserker. In particular the 'free of death' thing. I think that immortality should not exist in any sort of capacity in a Fate RP; even if it is similar to Heracles and how he must be killed multiple times. It's basically sayin' 'well I get 5 chances as opposed to everybody else's 1'. Perhaps if the Chest was more accessible or didn't have so many security measures I'd be more price to accept that. Perhaps if there is some other way to make him immortal without actually makin' him 'immortal'.

And to clarify about Berserker, I'm actually still waiting for P Blades to adjust his stats to what I suggested here, and I believe the chest thing could be destroyed in one blow with a Noble Phantasm of equal rank?

I also believe if you destroy his entire body he wouldn't be capable of regenerating either.

Well, this is... unfortunate.

I can't say I'm fit to be GM'ing such an RP though, considering my Nasuverse knowledge could really use some help still.

Well…I could. Although I've never GM'd before and I have an idea for my own RP that'd I'd like to do.
