Finally got all 50 Streetpass achievements, partly thanks to a friend telling me green apples appear randomly and can be bottled.
It would probably have been easier if I had noticed earlier that Shadow Links don't know to dodge a returning boomerang. I only noticed when I needed something to stun him while my golden bee finished him off.
PS: Wow, hero mode is dangerous.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."So, I am approaching endgame. Got all the paintings, about to march right on into the Dark World Lorule THE DARK WORLD's castle. This game reminds me a lot of Twilight Princess, in the sense that where Twilight Princess was a "sequel" to Ocarina of Time that borrowed so heavily that it kind of felt more like a remake, Link Between Worlds is very definitively a remake of Link to the Past. They do a lot of the same things, but with more focus on storytelling and characterization and technology granting more freedom and flexibility.
While still testing out new features and ideas, such as the Rental system for equipment providing all your tools right at the start of the game - as an aside, being the only Link in the franchise that doesn't own his own gear and has to rent it all, I hereby dub this protagonist Poverty Link.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.But in order to rent the stuff you need a lot of money.
No, you needs lots of money to BUY the stuff, so you can have it Nicened by Mother Maiamai.
And when that is done, you can get lots of money very easily.
Edit: Wow, I'm very, very thankful that the House of Gales boss knocks you into holes instead of doing direct damage. Hero Mode is hard.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I met a Princess Hilda cosplayer◊ today.
Note: If the image looks sideways, it's your fault for using an obsolete web browser.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Thread hop.
Just got this today, and playing it now.
Skipped the other posts to avoid spoilers (and I already know a few things, but there are details I'm still blank on).
Gonna have a good time stabbing Yuga in the face.
It's Justice time!!!!!
One Strip! One Strip!I bought this game the day it came out. I managed to beat the main storyline in four days, later moving on to sidequests before I decided to go on Hero Mode (which is somewhat crazy compared to Skyward Sword's Hero Mode).
The climax near the end was very stunning. It had a lot of plot twists: Hilda being the Big Bad (which everyone speculated), Yuga being The Dragon to her (until he betrays her), and Ravio being Link's Alternate Self in Lorule.
I figured getting the Master Ore in the Dark Palace frustrated everyone. Indeed, everyone probably used a guide for it.
Overall, however, I enjoyed this game. It's a worthy addition to the Zelda franchise, in terms of plot twists, gameplay, etc. I think everyone will enjoy it just about as much as I did.
I know it's supposedly "unmarked spoilers", but saying spoilery things immediately after that kind of post strikes me as rather uncool.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I know, unmarked spoilers... But if it didn't have the unmarked spoilers warning in the title, then I would have spoiler-tagged the huge climax near the end. I guess it's there because there's quite a lot to talk about, including the numerous plot twists (looking back at the first page someone said in an unmarked post that they were sad about not fighting Hilda in the end). Either way, as I stated earlier, I liked this game, and perhaps everyone else who posted on this thread did.
I spent some time fighting the Shadow Links that have accumulated on my game file, and found out something weird about the battles. If the time limit runs out, the winner is decided by who dealt the most damage instead of who had the most health left. I've won a match I would otherwise have lost (because the Shadow Link used a Blue Potion to heal himself), and lost a match I otherwise would have won (because I ate some apples and had more health left than the Shadow Link). That just seemed odd to me.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.I'm mostly grateful for it, as I pretty much always win when it comes down to that.
And I think that's a way of making sure something like if people start with less hearts than another don't automatically lose.

Makes them damn near impossible on Hero Mode, though, since you still have the multiplied damage on you.
I have a message from another time...One thing I discovered in Hero Mode, is that the AI has trouble dodging/parrying the boomerang's return.
But I still don't remember if I ever beat the old man once, or if he always curb-stomped me.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."
I beat it. I enjoyed the final boss, had just the right difficulty curve (second phase. First phase was a little on the easy side).
I had suspected that Hilda might betray you in the end, though I hadn't suspected that she was masterminding the thing, working with Yuga rather than against him, just that she seemed a bit too envious of Zelda. Ravio as alterna-Link i was spoiled on, I think.
That was a touching ending, and what seems to wrap up the over-plot for that timeline (as now the Triforce of Power is detached from Ganon's spirit)
